Good start to the Hercules series with Sorbo. Never meant to be classical drama, but production values are certainly helped with the New Zealand locations (pre-Lord of the Rings) and sweeping shots of the country. Quinn does a good job as Zeus.
This episode features my favorite moment in the series: Hercules is swallowed by a sea serpent and has to find his way to the beast's heart and bear-hug it to death. The rest of the episode pretty much sucks.
