Another freaking awesome semi-sequel....

It fails as a film, but kind of succeeds as a glorified special feature; adding both a few more guilty laughs at unseen footage and a few interesting behind the scenes interviews

Whereas the Jackass .5 films tended to offer good quality extra footage which could have easily been in the proper movies, 'Bad Grandpa .5' is a DVD special feature disguised as a film. You can see why most of the scenes in this were left out of the movie because they were lacking funny reactions or strong comedic execution from Knoxville. In a way though, this is the point of the film in explaining why certain sketches were left out and showing the issues/processes which are inherent with shooting real life prank-comedy. And to be fair, the parts at the end involving the Irving Zisman (Johnny Knoxville) and Gloria (Spike Jonze) characters together work very well and perhaps should have been in 'Bad Grandpa'.

As I said, This is certainly more of an extended special feature, but saying that, it is worth watching just like any dvd/blu ray special feature if you're interested.

When reading the description, I thought this was going to be more like an additional side story to the Bad Grandpa film, but it is really more a documentary on the making of the movie. They do add some scenes and characters not seem in the original, but it's mostly alternate takes and interviews with the cast and crew on the production aspects of making a hidden camera film. Still entertaining, as I like learning about filmmaking, and the Jackass crew involved are very funny.

It's just a making of documentary of Bad Grandpa...still has a lot of funny stuff though.

All commentary. Thought it would be the sequal to Bad Grandpa which was hilarious!! Some parts were interesting, thats it. Other than that. it was bad.

More like a Documentary or a behind the scenes POV. And it was great! Loved it better then the original.

I enjoyed this, I thought the documentary aspect of it was gonna ruin it but it actually made it good to see what was going through their heads at the times of the pranks, its a funny Johnny Knoxville movie without crazy stunts like in Jackass. I slightly preferred this over the original bad grandpa movie, because I thought it offered some better skits.

As with the Jackass series, they tend to have so much footage that they decide to have a .5 edition of the movie. With Bad Grandpa .5, this really was not the case. Aside from a few extra skits that easily could have been in the original film, the rest of the movie is filled with interviews with the directors and actors. The a couple of the skits from this movie actually are an improvement to the first one, but the edition of Gloria brings the movie back to a halt as she is is easily on of the worst characters in the series.

Not what you would expect. It wasn't all that funny, there was a few deleted scenes but not enough to make up a whole other movie, they just describe how they filmed and set up some of the stunts. It isn't as good as the Jackass .5 films. Don't pay for it because its on Netflix. Not worth your time.

Parts of this are funny but its falsely advertised. It's not a movie. It's outtakes, interviews, and a few new scenes from the film.

Not near as satisfying as the actual film, but the behind-the-scenes insights were fun.

This is dirty but so funny!

Better than the actual movie "Bad Grandpa". It was interesting to see the behind-the-scenes footage and was a more consistent watch than the main movie.

Watching the bts is always better to me then the actual pranks

Extra scenes and behind the scenes of the Jackass films is always entertaining.
