Unfortunately, his film gets lost in the myopia of Matt's cuckledom, sidelining the far more interesting mother-daughter duo who can't help but keep walking in on each other's one night stands.

Midway through, Kingsway changes directions from aimless comedy to psychological drama, and I'm still enduring the whiplash.
It's a busy screenplay, with the result that a few of the narrative threads get a little lost.
Kingsway is a light comedy, despite its underpinnings of depression and anxiety (which I think are required by law to be in Canadian movies). But I would watch Rose and Sullivan play mom-and-daughter in any sitcom they chose.
This savagely funny and impeccably acted dramedy might be Sweeney's best film yet.
While an enjoyable film, Kingsway frequently travels down familiar paths.
