Movie Info

In this adventure set during Napoleon's attempt to overtake Haiti, a Yankee attorney endeavors to get the signature of an island noblewoman so he can settle an estate. She is a French sympathizer, and is affianced to a wealthy plantation owner. The lawyer hires a Haitian rebel leader to guide him through the deep jungle to find the woman, her maid and her maid's son. In the end, the woman becomes aligned with the rebels and falls for the lawyer.
