Audience Reviews for Miss All-American Beauty
A Texas beauty queen rises to prominence but finds her integrity tested by her handlers. A stolid, facile, infantile, superficial film that fails to say anything that wouldn't be better covered by an after-school special or a "The More You Know" commercial. It's easy to summarize the moral of this story: respect yourself because beauty is on the inside, not the outside. That's boring enough, but the film undercuts its whole moral because once the main character learns her "lesson," she still ultimately succeeds based solely on her external beauty. Diane Lane is good a being beautiful, but she's not allowed to be an actress in this film, and Cloris Leachman is a grandmotherly maternal figure but nothing else. Overall, you should avoid the hell out of this film unless you want to set the feminist movement back a generation or two, in which case you're an asshole who deserves shitty movies.

Super Reviewer
Average TV movie with an very young and beautiful Diane Lane. She and Cloris Leachman are good as always but the picture is nothing special.
