The film is easy, programme humor, with a dash or two of genuine excitement.
...generally as breezy and amiable a piece of work as one might've expected.
I got a big kick out of this little detective story.
The action moves along at a good clip, although there are some digressions with the neighborhood children that appear thrown in specifically to appease a young audience.

This is a cute and quirky little movie for youngsters, but I think it sometimes tries a little too hard to be that. It was a pretty good movie, especially the humor. I think kids will like it.
