Movie Info

The heroic efforts of the US Air Force to save herds of starving cattle and sheep during the great Nevada blizzards of 1949 are chronicled in this drama. The story also centers on two brothers who are facing financial ruin as their livestock slowly freezes to death. As this is a true story, the Air Force loaned the filmmakers the needed aircraft and supplied actual servicemen to fill the needed roles. It was shot entirely on location in Ely, Nevada.
