Orphen (1998)

In this action-packed anime series, a young sorcerer goes on a quest to free his friend from a curse that transformed her into a vicious dragon. Orphen's pal Azalie accidentally turned into the beast while they trained at the elite magic school Fanged Tower. Now, Orphen, along with his apprentice, Majic, and spunky heiress Cleao, must battle various malevolent creatures -- as well as the school instructors who've vowed to destroy Azalie.
