Audience Reviews for The Painted Desert

Romeo and Juliet ... out West. Can a couple of kids find love when their families are at war with one another? As we ponder that question we notice a surly actor standing in the back ... is that Clark Gable?!? And is he playing the bad guy who wants the movie to be about him??? You betcha, and this movie coulda used more of him. Otherwise ... what were we talking about again?

If Gable wasn't in this in a supporting role it would be forgotten which is what this stiff oater deserves. Only Gable seems at all natural, he exudes star quality everybody else suggests trees.
