Resurrection isn't perfectly done but it brings such an intensity that it's difficult to ignore. The performances alone are electric, with Rebecca Hall delivering a tour de force.

Resurrection confounds as often as it chills, though Rebecca Hall's fiercely complex performance is worth resurrecting again and again.

Rebecca Hall gives an amazing performance is this awesomely weird thriller.

Without exactly revolutionising the form, Semans's debut delivers an unsettling tale of psychological torment and the kind of creeping dread and shocking climax that hallmarks some of the best horror.

Rebecca Hall has nailed this kind of a role before, but that takes nothing away from how good she is here.

Likely one of the most screw-loose horror films you'll see all year, Resurrection bets big on some bold ideas while backed by a mesmeric Rebecca Hall performance.

A horrifying performance from the oft-brilliant Roth.

There are few actresses more adept than Hall at portraying a woman whose sanity is slowly unraveling, and her performance in Resurrection is no exception. She's well matched by Roth as the sinister creep hiding behind a veneer of congeniality.

I also suppose that I perversely admire Resurrection for its willingness to go off in such a wild direction and stick with it to the end.

In general, I'm a huge proponent of the Show/Don't Tell principle, but Hall and Roth bring such intensity to everything they say, and it's perfect in context to the plot's progression.

The mysteries of their connection have to be seen to be believed, but Hall and Roth's transfixing work helps ground the rising madness of Resurrection.
January 27, 2022
Resurrection narratively collapses at times under the weight of unrealistic behavior and overly stylized filmmaking, but never loses its emotional intensity because of Rebecca Hall and Tim Roth.
January 27, 2022
Resurrection unspools a single mother's crushing secret in a steely structure that belies its brazen, outrageous horror.

Anybody who doesn't want to watch the hell out of a movie about Rebecca Hall losing her mind over Tim Roth is not anybody I wanna know
January 27, 2022
The film is one of the more intrinsically frightening evocations of a traumatized mind since Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me.

Sound like fun? It isn't, but it does give Hall a chance to portray yet another character in extremis, and she is phenomenal.

'Resurrection' rides on the adversarial and thrilling acting of Rebecca Hall and Tim Roth. A take on how trauma shapes our future realities, the film is an interesting thriller all the way to the end.

RESURRECTION is a mysterious tale of a malevolent force going up against the love of a mother for her child. The fantasy elements of the story are grounded by the spectacular performance of Rebecca Hall.

Semans' Resurrection captures a performance by Hall that is so raw, it will tear you apart from the inside out and all you can do is sit back in awe.

Resurrection is like Gaslight (1944) meets Rosemary's Baby (1968) but on steroids. Rebecca Hall turns a wonderful performance as the increasingly paranoid Margaret. Tim Roth's portrayal of David is absolutely chilling.
