Sacred Hearts (1995)
Movie Info
Seventeen-year-old Elizabeth is on the cusp of adulthood. This humble independent drama chronicles her journey to womanhood and the discovery that pat answers and real life seldom mix. It is set during the summer, and Elizabeth does have a lot to deal with. Her mother suffers a mental breakdown and has just entered a hospital to recover while her father, a college professor, begins an affair with a student. Meanwhile, Elizabeth tries to cope with her first job working as a lifeguard and with the tumultuous emotions she feels for a handsome young tennis instructor--her first serious love affair.
