Sharpe's Gold Reviews
It spends most of the film dealing with suppoed Aztec ancestors, which includes several scenes where you see the Aztecs prepare to cut out someone's heart. Whilst I have no problem with the violence, it is very un-Sharpe like. Whilst I enjoyed the film, it was a bit...bleurgh.
The bad guy, the leader of the Aztec rivals, was, to be honest, a bit cartoonish, at one point meowing at a woman (?), but I had little sympathy for Wellington's sister and niece, they brought it on themselves, so I had no emotional sadness in the film....though the niece did bring up a good moment where Sharpe makes mention of Teresa, who was a great female character, and also good to see continuity.
