Movie Info

This biopic paints tuneful portraits of the careers of vaudevillians Blossom Seeley and Benny Fields. Seeley's story begins in 1906 in San Francisco. She got her start in vaudeville shortly after the big quake. Following WW I, she moved to Broadway and then went back to vaudeville where she meets and falls for the shady Benny Fields, a performer who would do anything to become a star. His ambition blinds at first blinds him to Seeley's love, but after much time and many ups and downs, he finally sees the light and love triumphs. Songs include "Way Down Yonder in New Orleans," "Dixie Dreams" and "Toddling the Todalo."
