Movie Info

Buck Jones is Stone of Silver Creek in this attractively produced western. The owner of a frontier gambling-house/dancehall, T. William Stone is a paragon of honesty, which is more than can be said for most of his customers. Befriending the town's new pastor Timothy Tucker (Niles Welch), Stone works overtime to make sure that his patrons show up for Sunday morning services (or else!). He even pairs up Tucker with Martha Mason (Marion Shilling), one of the town's "nice" girls. The pastor reciprocates by tipping Stone off when a bunch of crooks plot to bump off our hero. There isn't a whole lot of action in Stone of Silver Creek, but there's plenty of heart.
