Swept from the Sea is a disappointment, a film in which good and evil dutifully go through their paces, while the character who could have added complexity and intrigue remains, unfortunately, unrealized.
It's hard to really care about these two shallowly written characters.
A deeply spiritual movie that honors the unfathomable mysteries of life.
Kidron translates the script into potent cinema, and her authority in dramatizing such elemental material enlists the support of some remarkable performers.
Part of the problem is the story. It's just not much of one. Fortunately we've got Cornwall -- and Rachel Weisz -- to look at and John Barry's lush score to listen to.
Audience Reviews for Swept from the Sea
A Wonderful friend told me to see this movie (I will let her pick out more for me).and am I glad I ever did. This is not just a romance movie. This is beyond that, with stellar acting by all, you wish the movie could go on. It shows how mean people can be to a perfectly happy couple. I was spellbound, its a must sea movie for all, if you enjoy films then get this one and you will give it no less then 4 stars. I have to give it 5 as its one of the best I have seen. Thank You Raimoyna
