James Van Der Beek (Dawson's Creek) shows off his dark side in this indie thriller about a kidnapped girl who fights back against her captor. Based on a true story, Taken in Broad Daylight follows the harrowing ordeal of Anne Sluti (Sara Canning, Kyle XY), a young woman abducted and tortured by a hardened criminal (Van Der Beek). Sluti carefully leaves clues as her captor moves her across state lines, allowing the police to stay close on her trail.

Decent. Sara Canning did a great job in her role. James Van Der Beek is always terrible, so I didn't expect much from him.

This was pretty poorly made. It seemed like it was made in the early 90's, even though it was just last year. Also the DVD case revealed the ending, so there were no surprises. I thought it was pretty cheesy.
