Starring with John Payne, Ronald Reagan plays a stranger who gets involved in a dispute between a couple gamblers and soon becomes the friend of one. This western, adapted from a story by Bret Harte, was shot twice before, once as Tennessee's Pardner in 1918 and in 1924 as The Flaming Forties.
