Movie Info

In this musical comedy, a young girl fantasizes about the much older man who has been staying as a guest in her parent's home. The visiting news correspondent seems so sophisticated that it is small wonder the impressionable small-town lass throws over her plain-old regular boy friend to be with him. The fellow remains gentlemanly and honorable to the girl, but he also uses her to escape from a series of boring social obligations. In time the girl sees that she is being played for a fool and returns to her original love. Songs include: "My Own," "That Certain Age," "You're as Pretty as a Picture," "Be a Good Scout," "Has Anybody Ever Told You Before?" (Jimmy McHugh, Harold Adamson), Juliet's Waltz Song (from Charles Gounod's Romeo and Juliet) and "Les Filles De Cadiz" (Alfred de Musset, Leo Delibes).
