Movie Info

In this romantic comedy set in Chicago, a tough-as-nails editor of a prominent magazine falls in love with his newest writer, the pretty but fiercely independent young daughter of a recently bankrupted business magnate. At first it is anything but love between the stubborn duo who argue constantly. Yet somehow, in the midst of the ensuing fireworks, the two fall in love and decide to marry. Unfortunately, the well-meaning fiancee decides to surprise her intended by cleaning up his messy bachelor pad. He hits the roof and gives her the boot. The heart-broken girl then rushes back to an earlier lover and they decide then and there to be married in Crown Point, Indiana. When the editor learns of this he takes drastic measures to ensure that it is he who becomes her groom.
