The Goodbye People (1983)
Movie Info
When Max Silverman (Martin Balsam) comes out of a dangerous heart surgery alive, he decides to get as much out of the time remaining to him as he can. With help from his long-lost daughter (Pamela Reed) and a local starving artist (Judd Hirsch), Max struggles to find a way to reopen the Coney Island hot dog stand that he ran twenty years earlier.

It was difficult sitting through this talky production without squirming from embarrassment at the mushy dialogue and shrill preaching.
