Nick Nevern's spoof of football hooligan films doesn't seem that different from the films it is parodying -- but maybe that's the point of the joke.
I snickered from sheer recognition at the first overpopulated ruckus on a tiny footbridge, and there's a Reg Hollis cameo, but that probably isn't enough to merit rescuing it from the 24-hour garage bargain bin.
Straight out of the lower leagues.
Does for football hooligans what Cockneys Vs. Zombies did for cockneys (and zombies). Very silly, occasionally very funny.
A film that struggles to find its own identity.
It's an affectionate piss-take that clearly knows its source material inside-out; trouble is, it relies too often on lifting other movies' dialogue verbatim, as if the mere act of referencing were innately hysterical.
