Young actress Julie Benz plays equestrian Annie Garrett in this acclaimed, warmhearted family drama. When Garrett's ill-tempered husband abandons her, leaving her injured with a single daughter and a horse to care for, she and her child relocate to California, ultimately taking residence on the farm of Mary Lou O'Brian (multi-award winning actress Marsha Mason), at whose horse stables Annie finds work, as well as a friend in the manager of O'Brian's barn, Guido Levits (Paul Le Mat, Melvin and Howard). But Annie's ability to believe in herself once and for all will ultimately depend on her winning a horse race -- on the back of a blind stallion.
