Calvo's film is primarily a character study, and on that end it succeeds thanks to Longstreet.
Given the trajectory of Mort's life, you wouldn't expect the say the same of "The Missing Girl" in general, but like its protagonist, it's unexpectedly buoyant and full of delightful little surprises.
Robert Longstreet delivers an excellent performance and helps carry The Missing Girl to a place where it's a pleasantly enjoyable character study.
