A classic revenge narrative, Cemetery Without Crosses is an excellent find for those aficionados of the genre and period.

If you're content to watch a French-Italian western that doesn't star Clint Eastwood or Lee Van Cleef, then perhaps you might like "Cemetery Without Crosses." A disappointment, yes. But, strangely appealing.

Cemetery of Crosses spares few words and relies instead on stylish action sequences and elegant, atmospheric cinematography to achieve its ends.

Audience Reviews for The Rope and the Colt (Cemetery Without Crosses)(Une corde, un Colt...)

Hossein has clearly studied Leone a lot, maybe a bit too much. The movie is trying to evoke a similar melancolic atmosphere to something like Once Upon a Time in the West, but while "west" felt like an opera, this feels like a stage rehersal that drags out a bit too much. Hossein's face is perfect for the material, but the rest of the cast is not particulary exciting to watch. Not a bad effort, but lacks more strenght to become more memorable.
