Sam Walker's increasingly grotesque feature debut is as much a satire of online narcissism and viral toxicity as an alien invasion flick, as these Earth girls prove all too easy in the face of outside influence.
Under the Skin by the way of Heathers, with some b-movie & body horror affectations thrown in for good measure, The Seed has more to it than its shallow facade, but its murky & unbalanced tone prevents it from being a complete hit.
