Movie Info

This drama chronicles 100 years in the life of a Louisiana family. Three brothers from the family go their separate ways and begin running businesses in England, France, and Germany in the 1800s. Soon they have a tremendous empire. Unfortunately, WWI arrives and the market plunges. Suddenly they lose almost everything. The way they adapt to the enormous changes in those tumultuous times provides the basis of the movie.

It moves pretty creakingly in this picture, which is largely pieced together from a number of much better films.

Audience Reviews for The World Moves On

Somewhat heavy handed film crams too much story into its running time.
