Movie Info

Lucille (Wanda Hawley) is the jealous girlfriend who believes her man John (Wallace Reid) falls too easily to feminine wiles. She agrees to marry him if he can stay out of trouble for 30 days. Huntley Palmer (Cyril Chadwick) is the jealous rival who watches for John to fail. John is innocently caught in a compromising position with Rosa Polenta (Carmen Phillips), and her husband (Hershell Mayell) goes after the interloper. Judge Hooker (Charles Ogle) sentences John to 30 days in jail to insure he will stay out of trouble. Former Keystone Kop Kalla Pasha is the comical warden who watches over the comic criminals. This was the last film for the popular Wallace Reid. Equally comfortable in dramatic or comedy roles, Reid died in a sanitarium from his addictions to morphine and alcohol.

[Thirty Days] doesn't get anywhere in particular nor go very fast as a story, but it is a gay piece of foolishness and keeps the spectator in pretty continuous good humor.

If Wallace Reid is satisfied to continue in pictures of this type he will soon join the stars of yesteryear.

As a whole, it is a mediocre comedy which never arouses any great amount of interest and is only mildly amusing.

Thirty Days just about reaches low ebb in the tide of Wallace Reid productions.

There isn't a good deal to the farce, not nearly enough to make it good material for Wally Reid, who incidentally is entitled to a lot better stuff than this.

A flippant and amusing picture.
