Not to be confused with the Bruce Willis vehicle of the same name, this supernatural adventure story takes place as a variety of strange and unexplained happenings are occurring in Hong Kong. One leading scientist bursts into flame in a church attic, another disappears and is feared dead, while a radar dish suddenly splits in half. Dr. Tak Ken (Andy Lau), a computer scientist student of the Tao of Chaos, begins looking into these events and discovers the dead and/or missing scientists had all been approached by an organization called The Brotherhood of Technology. What's more, this Brotherhood has brought Tak's girlfriend back from the grave (Michelle Reis) to help guide him. It seems there's a reasonable explanation for all this: the end times are near, the missing men of science are part of a select group of 12 men who will rule the world after the oncoming apocalypse, and an archangel is on the way who can call forth the Seven Seals, signaling the destruction and subsequent reconstruction of the world. This elaborately mounted spiritual fantasy also features Anthony Wong Chau-Sang and Kim Ip.
