When Harry Met Sally is a beautiful, brainy, touching and lilting romantic comedy that should touch the heartstrings of lovers and those yearning to be in love everywhere.

Cynically lovely and a whip smart archetype for the modern rom-com.
Ephron's tart, grown-up script examines the inevitably of love finding a way despite the fight put up by this famous pair of snappy New Yorkers.

Still a treat.

Quite possibly the greatest romantic comedy since Some Like It Hot.
Reiner wants to maintain the sitcom sense of comfort and familiarity; he creates types that we somehow already know, slightly out-of-focus images in which we can see ourselves and our friends.
Audience Reviews for When Harry Met Sally
Ephron's screenplay is marvelous, deliciously funny and deserving of every award - and much of the improvised dialogue in several moments fits so perfectly that they seem scripted -, but what makes the movie even more adorable is the chemistry between Crystal and Ryan.

Funny, charming and cleverly loveable. When Harry Met Sally... is an endearing romantic comedy with an interesting script and hilarious performances from Billy Crystal & Meg Ryan. The film's flawless blend of love and laughter is a standard held high to this day for all "rom-coms". 5/5
Super Reviewer
Its like the late 80's version of 500 days of summer or vice versa. Its fun and cute. It can be placed on as some of the best romantic films of our time.

Harry Burns: | Why don't you tell me the story of your life? |
Sally Albright: | The story of my life? |
Harry Burns: | We've got eighteen hours to kill before we hit New York. |
Sally Albright: | The story of my life isn't even going to get us out of Chicago, I mean nothing's happened to me yet. That's why I'm going to New York. |
Harry Burns: | So something can happen to you? |
Sally Albright: | Yes. |
