In this comedy, a sophisticated Frenchman and a drunken Yankee soldier vie for the love of a beautiful woman who is engaged to a British sailor. In civilian life, the sailor is a wealthy earl. The American meets the girl in the British sailor's apartment and romantic mayhem ensues.
