Critic reviews for Winter Kills
It ain't good, y'all.
It's a disappointment for a season with such promise to go out with a whimper. "Red Tide" wasn't without its highlights, but it may ultimately wash away as one of the series' more forgettable stories.
Whether there are six episodes or ten, the simple fact of the matter is American Horror Story just sucks when it comes to finales.
Is the whole creativity and writing theme too inside baseball for the average viewer? Possibly! Falchuk and his co-writers talk a lot about the process of creativity and the vapid vacancy of Hollywood's big egos.
I haven't grown this attached to an ensemble of malcontents and a-holes in a long time, and, well, I'm going to miss them. Most of them. Alma can now, and forever, shove her violin straight up her lobster roll.

"Winter Kills" was as anticlimactic as they come, leaving me with little excitement about future stories. They had one job -- stick the landing. If they can't do that, what hope have we got that we'll get a near-perfect story in the future?
