Brigette Lundy-Paine plays Sam's sibling so wonderfully, Michael Rapaport just heart-breaking as their dad. Gorgeous, funny and heartfelt.
'Atypical' may not be the fascinating series that hooks us episode after episode, but it is nice and very pleasant to watch. [Full Review in Spanish]
Though plot-wise the series is somewhat formulaic and uses many tropes, its utilization and handling of these - alongside the strong writing and performances - make it a step up from many shows of the same variety and a worthwhile viewing experience.
Atypical is proving yet again why it remains the best half-hour on Netflix's slate.
If you're looking for a feel-good way to kick off 2020, Atypical is definitely worth your time. It's everything all of us have always loved about coming-of-age queer love stories on teevee.
