Series Info

A frustrated wannabe actor continually lands bit parts on major film projects with real stars (who play themselves). Fortysomething Englishman Andy Millman was bitten by the acting bug late in life, but can't seem to make a name for himself, despite his best efforts to steal a line, milk a scene or schmooze with the crew. His best friend, Maggie, suffers a similar fate, though she would much rather catch a man than a break. Created by the duo that crafted the BBC's `The Office.'

Critics Consensus: Along with the requisite cringeworthy humor and impressive celebrity cameos, Extras' finale ultimately offers a cautionary tale through Andy's personal growth.

2007, HBO, 1 episodes

Critics Consensus: With Andy's elevated-although equally unsatisfying-status in the industry, Extras' second season hits the ground running with fresh satirical insights into the world of entertainment.

Critics Consensus: Nothing is off-limits when it comes to Extras, as Andy, Darren, and Maggie touch on every taboo in the book with the help of each episode's featured celebrity.
