Rather than redesign the characters or re-conceive the ideas behind the Fantastic Four, the series actually lifted several stories from the comics faithfully and used them in the series.
Just as campy and, well, cartoonish as one imagines a Hanna-Barbera produced Fantastic Four series would be.
Both colorful and faithful to its science fiction roots. The characters are exact translations from page to screen.
One of the most fun, if repetitive, versions of the characters.
