Despite their divorce, Abby (Lisa Edelstein) and Jake (Paul Adelstein) keep hooking up, though Jake has yet to tell Abby about Becca's (Julianna Guill) pregnancy. Delia (Necar Zadegan) gets engaged with Gordon (Matthew Glave) and goes through the whole wedding-planning process. She hides the fact that she's getting cold feet but acts out by carrying an affair with her boss Albert (Brian Markinson). Phoebe (Beau Garrett) explores the art world with new boyfriend JD (Aaron Staton). Jo (Alanna Ubach) struggles to keep her ex-husband Rob (Maury Sterling) out of her newly opened bakery. The second season of "Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce" also stars Retta as Barbara Sawyer, Jean Smart as Katherine Miller, Mark Valley as Dr. Harris, and Megan Hilty as Charlene Frumpkis. Barry Bostwick and Lesley Ann Warren make special appearances as Abby's parents George and Dina McCarthy.

Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce is worth watching this season because Marti Noxon and company are moving beyond Abby's first taste of sexual freedom and addressing more of the harsh realities divorce entails.
