[Sherman] Hemsley still has George Jefferson's knockout delivery of humorous lines; [Dorien] Wilson is a fair comedic counter-puncher. Between them, they could score enough points to win a favorable Nielsen decision.

Hemsley gives a measured, toned-down performance, a departure from his days as the boisterous dry-cleaning business owner and one-time Archie Bunker nemesis.

"Goode" isn't particularly good. It's stagey, predictable and seems to have been put together out of pieces of old sitcoms. It's not worth wasting your time on.
