All these exotic and disparate elements start to come together into a wonderful, pungent bouillabaisse.

An historic immolation creatively. It misses as badly in conceptualization, characterization and execution as any TV show in memory.
The basic problem here is that what's been created has more than its share of quirkiness and offbeat color, but not a shred of charm. Key West is just weird and bizarre, not inviting.
Although too busy in establishing all these characters, the premiere shows promise as an engagingly offbeat corner of the Fox network.
In trying to ape the offbeat tone of Northern Exposure, Key West overshoots colorful and goes all the way to gaudy.
[Creator David] Beaird brings together an intriguing collection of characters.
