The drama series based on the novel of the same name written by Natalie Baszile is back for its second season, which brings back the three siblings trying to build a new life in Louisiana as present-day plantation owners. Charley (Dawn-Lyen Gardner) and Davis (Timon Kyle Durrett) go over their arrangements for the divorce, while Micah (Nicholas L. Ashe) deals with it in his own way: getting in trouble. Ralph Angel (Kofi Siriboe) tries to get involved with the sugarcane farm while also dealing with Darla (Bianca Lawson) and her troubles.
