Ravenswood: Season 1 (2013-2014)

Critic Consensus: Darker than expected from a Pretty Little Liars spin-off, Ravenswood legitimately elicits chills and surprises with an attractive young cast.

If the characters can stay alive, viewers should enjoy the show.

It's all cheesy and silly with minimally adequate performances but, eh, what do you expect from a show in this genre.

Ultimately, Ravenswood is a sufficiently spooky tale - and you don't have to be a Pretty Little Liars fan to enjoy the hair-raising series.

The group of teenagers may have been left sinking, but based on the creeptastic premiere, I'm sensing Ravenswood will be swimming strongly right along with its sister series.

It's definitely less grounded in reality, and clearly intended as more of a horror story than a murder mystery like [Pretty Little Liars]. As a huge horror fan, I'm very much down with that.
