As a first-time host, Sudeikis naturally and obviously excelled. While not as strong of an episode as last week's - so, certainly not a lay-up - this was still another solid outing from this season of "SNL."
Sudeikis is Sudeikis. Just a lovely guy, talking about SNL, Ted Lasso, and generally being a good person.
Do you believe in miracles, little guy? Because this episode was great from start to finish.
Jason Sudeikis did not disappoint on those grounds. It was slightly disappointing, on the other hand, to see the cast's female contingent confined to the sidelines this episode.
Sudeikis' palpable love of the place and his part in its long and storied history got to me (and, seemingly, the audience).
This episode proved a deservedly triumphant homecoming for Sudeikis, with the rest of show rising to meet the occasion.
