Tv Season Info

Quirky comedy about employees of the Rancho del Toro mall. Julie Brown (the show's cocreator) heads the cast as a former child actress who once had her own sitcom (until she murdered her costar), but now works as a waitress at the sleazy Funky Fox Bar. Patty is a ditsy coworker with a metal plate in her head. Among the bar's patrons are Rafe Barrett, the co-owner of a failing gift shop, and Sergei, the creepy proprietor of the mall's video store.

The humor is as broad as it sounds, though not very imaginative.

It would be forgivable if the show had an ounce of cleverness.

I admit laughing when Tammi got turned on by a hot Chihuahua, but I wouldn't come to Strip Mall for quality goods.

Julie Brown looks like the demon daughter of Naomi Judd and Dolly Parton. I love her.

Christopher Tying has composed a fun ditty for the end credits that's a far better tune than Strip Mall is a show.
