Series Info

An ex-NBA player coaches a racially mixed high-school team in a tough inner-city section of Los Angeles. Storylines aren't strictly confined to the court, the locker room and class, but extend beyond school grounds to follow events in players' lives, in their homes and on the streets. Created and executive produced by Bruce Paltrow, `The White Shadow' received Emmy nominations for best drama in 1980 and 1981.
