A gruelling watch.
An unsparing and wholly believable account of the Rochdale child-grooming scandal.
This was brave, intelligent, well-informed, gripping television, with women front and centre.
Three Girls is exactly the sort of bitter remedy that television can, when it really tries, prescribe.
Subtle, moving performances by the young actresses take this beyond a rote Law And Order-type procedural.
Tough viewing though it is, Three Girls is an important piece of work made with great purpose and with remarkably accomplished performances from its three young leads.
