Tv Season Info

Much like the original "Top Chef," this reality show features aspiring chefs competing against each other over a series of challenges, with the only difference being they're all kids. Season 1 is hosted by Vanessa Lachey, joined by judges Curtis Stone, Gail Simmons, Tiffany Derry, Antonia Lofaso, and Graham Elliot. The challenges that the contestants have to face include opening food trucks, creating dog treats, make cupcakes one-handed, and design a whole restaurant. Among the young chefs are a girl who's been baking since she was 4, a 13-year-old boy who already works part-time at a restaurant, and a California girl who wants to make her grandmother proud.

This series is especially fun, since the contestants are so genuinely enthusiastic about food, and come from a generation that has grown up viewing chefs as rock stars.
