At times it feels like it's been cobbled together out of a season we never got to see the rest of. Yet despite that, it delivers some hugely satisfying stories fans have been itching to see since the show began.
Still, it is a strange decision to have Shiro back in the Black Lion and one that doesn't necessarily feel like the right move even if everyone seems to agree it's for the best.
Even if this season felt like it skipped over a lot of potential storylines, it's still a fun ride and sets up a lot of intrigue for the future.
This is a thrilling two-episode sequence that offers up some of the best space-based battles since Star Wars.
Six episodes isn't a lot to work with, yet somehow the cast and crew of Voltron: Legendary Defender managed to make Season 4 the show's most varied and enjoyable one to date.
