Critic Reviews for White Gold: Season 1
All Critics (8) | Top Critics (3) | Fresh (7) | Rotten (1)
Westwick, whatever the hell he's doing here, is always engaging, especially when he's looking viewers straight in the eye, and former Inbetweeners stars James Buckley and Joe Thomas have great chemistry as warring salesmen.

I loved The Inbetweeners, but then I grew out of it. White Gold seems to have grown with me, presenting me with that childish love I had for a show full of penis jokes and gross-out humour, and turning it into something slightly more sophisticated.
White Gold indefinitely grabs your attention but let's just hope it gives us something other than Wolf of Wall Street in Essex. Time will tell.
Unexpectedly dark [and] hilarious.
For fans of British comedy, or viewers who want to see Westwick do an '80s-style twist on his Gossip Girl character Chuck Bass (but with the actor's natural accent this time), White Gold is worth a watch.
White Gold knows what it is, and creator Damon Beesley delivers on its promise of shallow pleasures.
