Movie Ratings and Reviews

Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Eh. I remember enjoying it when it was new, but I know I would find it craptacular now.

Very good, too long. My attention span is definitely not over 2 hours, unless it's beyond a stellar movie. which this wasn't.

The Fountain
The Fountain(2006)

kind of confusing, but good.

Fight Club
Fight Club(1999)

I'm obsessed with Chuck Palahniuk.

kind of slow at times, but very good!

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist

really cute & low key. loved the music in it, loved the adorable awkwardness, loved a lot of things about it! reccommended.

The Dark Knight

I love this movie more than life. Perfect.

Mamma Mia!
Mamma Mia!(2008)

I've seen the musical... 3 times... the movie imitates a stage style, and it's very enjoyable. Not a particularly stellar film, but it was fun and nostalgic enough for me to really like.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2

this was o-kay. nothing spectacular, but enjoyable and cute.

Batman Begins

Very good, very cinematic, has a personal touch and the action was riveting. Very cool stuff, almost made me want to read a comic book or something. I also love Christian Bale officially now.

Get Smart
Get Smart(2008)

Average, not that funny, has it's moments, I love The Rock.

Hoop Dreams
Hoop Dreams(1994)

This movie presents some interesting social ideas, but indirectly, and I feel like some people may miss them.

Very well done, I didn't even realize it was basically three hours long.

Despite some interesting effects and some ass kicking sequences, I still did not like this at all. It waded fully into the ridiculous far too often, and I felt like every movie cliche was thrown in predictably and poorly. I'm willing to let go and have a good time, some of the cinematics were impressive, stunts were impressive, but overall it just wasn't that entertaining.

Angelina is not lookin' too good, James McAvoy can do better, Morgan Freeman was disappointing and provided none of his usual stability and awesome-ness. So not worth the trip to the theatre.

Rocket Science

I LOVED this! It was the perfect indie-comedy-romance. I thoroughly enjoyed it because it wasn't predictable, it wasn't trying too hard, it made real, endearing, interesting characters who were entertaining and who I could sympathize with.

This was fairly good. Unfortunately, Marketa Irglova was difficult for me to actually understand, so that sucked. I also couldn't get used to the documentary-feel, it was very realistic but almost to the point of being too realistic. I need some escapism. I wanted an epic love story, and it's not like the movie claims to be one, that's just what I wanted.

The music is AMAZING.

The United States of Leland

I was a little disappointed by this movie, probably because I'd been wanting to see it for awhile. It wasn't mindblowing, it wasn't great, but it had some real moments.

Some of the camera work and editing was creative, but I still found that it dragged sometimes. Not Ryan Gosling at his best, for sure, or even Jena Malone. Don Cheadle and Kevin Spacey however, are excellent.

Wristcutters: A Love Story

This was really good, quirky, funny, endearing with a legitimate serious note behind the project.

I didn't.. not like it... but it wasn't fabulous. I did think the ending was very interesting, it hit me, even if it was a tiny bit over the top.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall

Absolutely hilarious. So quirky and perfect. Not at all what I expected, and it ended up being one of the funniest and best movies I have seen in a long time!

I will DEFINITELY buy this when it comes to DVD.

Made of Honor

Average in all ways.
Cute moments, smiles, no tears for this one though.
A poor man's PS I Love You.

Dark City
Dark City(1998)

Half Nelson
Half Nelson(2006)

It was very good and made my heart hurt.

Do not.

I figured that this movie was approximately 1$/10 minutes (just under a 9$ ticket for just under 90 minutes)

Here is a list of things you could do for 1$/10 minutes :

1. Scavenger Hunt in Dollarama
2. Gamble
3. Interview homeless people then give them 1$ if they have a touching/interesting/funny story
4. With slightly more creativity than anyone in the movie (should be about 95% of the population), you could have a really great time. The possibilities are endless!

Don't waste your time.

So awesome!! I like the 2nd one better, though.

Roméo et Juliette

I absolutely loved this. Far far far superior to Bahz Luhrman's horrific trainwreck that apparently passes for a movie.

It's so achingly sweet, it's the first version of the play as a movie that made me believe the passion. Maybe it's because I fell in love with Thomas Lalonde.

I love love loved it, heartbreaking, unique, Jeanne Moreau made the movie entirely fabulous, loved her beginning and end to the story. French is so beautiful to listen to, I can only imagine understanding it, we watched with subtitles.

P.S. I Love You

I liked this a lot more than I thought I would. It is so endearing, heartwarming, I basically cried the whole way through.

Hilary Swank managed to not be so manly, which was great. Not a huge Harry Connick fan, though.

Jumping on the bandwagon.

Part of me was a tiny bit bored the whole way through though, because there's only so many of these indie/lowfi/underground esque films that I can handle. I'm reaching my tolerance limit.

However, I adore Ellen Page and Michael Cera and the movie is really accessible and really well done.

The Invisible

Didn't live up to expectations. I thought the story was a little dull and the acting was a little poor.

They tried, I guess.

I love when relationships and parallels are explored in movies, and Crash intertwines so many lives that it's mind blowing. Truly touching, though I didn't cry my eyes out like I expected to.

The Heart of the Game

Perfect. I don't even have words, really. It's just absolutely perfect and I loved it.

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith

You know what? I complained a little bit about seeing this one. I was a little resistant.

I had completely lost touch with my gigantic nerd-side. I LOVE this movie. I don't care if it's cliched, overdramatic and poorly written. I do not care one bit. I love epic sci fi, and this is epic sci fi at it's best. Anakin is a tragic hero, broke my heart. What a great movie and great series.

After watching this, you'll want to put on IV immediately!

I absolutely loved this movie, it kept me insanely entertained and unsettled. I thought the first-person POV was absolutely fascinating and it captured me completely, beginning to end.

My only tiny complaint is that once you show the big stupid monster or whatever, you lose a lot of the effect. So, when the showed the big effing thing, I had to roll my eyes a little bit.

Jesus Camp
Jesus Camp(2006)

I'm kind of giving up on this one, I think it's completely disturbing. I don't know what to rate it, because it's fascinating yet I won't watch any more.

Pretty good. I am usually disappointed with twists in movies, and this one wasn't all that impressive. However, there was some solid suspense, solid (if not overwrought) performances, and I love John Cusack, so there we go.

The Hole
The Hole(2001)

I have this love/hate thing with Thora Birch, and here I just thought she was so irritating. An interesting movie at times, but not really worth seeing.

Very solid. Not "the greatest love story of our time since Titanic" or whatever it was said to be, whoever said that clearly missed the point.

Perfect for a CREEPER movie night :)

An Inconvenient Truth

I fell asleep :|

The Descent
The Descent(2006)

Big disappointment.

I liked the ending, though (I don't meant that in a sarcastic way- I legitimately was impressed with the ending).

Hard Candy
Hard Candy(2006)

I don't know what to make of this yet.

For me, it wasn't as well explained as I would have liked. However, it was tense, it was solid. There were times that it dragged a bit, but not enough to make it slow. It was also a bit repetitive. I felt like I was watching the same scene over and over again.

Overall, it is very well done, unconventional, unique and completely creepy. I love Ellen Page.

Funny, wildly inappropriate, etc.

I liked Knocked Up better, it was more of a solid overall movie.

McLovin' - AWESOME.

House of Flying Daggers

Yeah, this was only THE BEST MOVIE EVER MADE.

Interesting. I learned a lot, but I'm always wary of Moore's work, because it's obviously spun a certain way. That's why this can't be considered a genuine documentary. Moore's wording, phrasing and presentation shows his bias. Not that it's bad, it's very convincing and intelligent. It's just not a documentary.

Its so fun and full of life and makes you want to dance and sing! Great cast, everyone is exceptional and so talented!

I might be biased, because I saw the musical. Whatev.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose

I ended up seeing it, and I wasn't disappointed (because I hadn't intended on watching it anyway). It had some moments that were definitely freaky. I liked it more than the Exorcist.

Too long, and the court scenes (though I understand why they're there) took away from the tension too much. Not bad, though, at all. I bet I would have really liked it if I hadn't drifted during some of the court stuff (it was 3am though...)

Dirty Love
Dirty Love(2005)

I don't have a lot to say about this. It was pretty brutal at times, but I actually laughed a few times as well.

Plus, it had a happy love-filled ending. Fucking right, it did.

Reno 911!: Miami

Definitely funny.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Come on, it's Harry Potter. Even if it was a terrible movie (which it isn't), I would still love it.

It will be VERY confusing if you haven't read the books, though. I was borderline confused the whole way, luckily we all could put our heads together and figure out who was who and what was what.

The Illusionist

I think I saw half of this?

It was pretty good. I liked the ending.

American History X

GOOD! At times, hard to watch, but a really good movie. All of the characters were developed really well.

Entertaining. A great blend of violence, lust and family drama. Come to think of it, this movie has pretty much everything in it.

Only drawback is that I predicted the first 'twist' (involving Jennifer Aniston).

Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End

Complete entertainment, but a bit long. It's also a bit convoluted... but that doesn't matter, much. Don't try and understand. Just let it happen, haha.

Knocked Up
Knocked Up(2007)

This was really good! It was consistently funny and I actually adored every character in the movie. Reeally well done!

This movie was pretty awesome.

I love the whole feel and style.

Solid couple of hours.

Ever After: A Cinderella Story

I watch this movie when I'm sick. So beautiful It's so perfect.

A Walk to Remember

Good for days when you have an ache in your soul.

She's All That

I watched it in a sappy mood therefore it appealed to my emotions and I liked it.

Happily N'ever After

I really liked this. Not-so-subtle-themes, um, but really enjoyable nonetheless.

Freedom Writers

Except sometimes it was slightly contrived. Only a tiny bit sometimes.

Let's Go to Prison

It has it's moments.

Funnier to talk about or to quote afterwards.

... Shake that body... shake that body...

Provided some laughs, but it is basically terrible.

Solid, interesting, I liked it. Very reminiscent of the Matrix, even though they were released around the same time.

I officially love Christian Bale now.

That is all.

Yeah, I really liked it.

It was very long, however, and some parts dragged.

The Number 23

Hmm. This movie gets points for the random facts and managing to make the number 23 be EVERYWHERE.

Also had some suspense, a decent twist, but a stupid ending.

Question: When did Jim Carrey get RIPPED?

This is the most beautiful film ever made.

Hmm. I really liked what I got from this. Very interesting story and style, but I think I need to watch it again. In fact, I know I need to watch it again.

Reminded me of Mulholland Drive.

Little Miss Sunshine

I loved this. Every aspect of this movie is perfect in it's imperfection. My heart was breaking at the same time I was laughing. It can be painfully cute, but there are sad moments that make you laugh. Every character shone and everyone was endearing, the plot was amazingly engaging. What a family story. I actually loved it.

8 Mile
8 Mile(2002)

I will rap battle you, bitch!

Center Stage
Center Stage(2000)

... You can tell it's a few years old... But still, what a dramatic dance movie. Yes, some parts are crazy stupid but some parts are crazy fun, and again, it is kind of predictable (except I was taken aback by the end, whaaaaat?). Oh, and the entire movie I was bothered by where I had seen Zoe Saldana... CROSSROADS.

Step Up
Step Up(2006)

Channing Tatum is HOT. This movie is HOT. Predictable, but HOT. HOT.

Seven (Se7en)

This was amazing!!! Fuck, how about Kevin Spacey, eh? Sick genius. Sick.

House of Sand and Fog

This is one of the saddest, most tragic movies I've seen. It's a really good adaptation from the book (which, obviously, is really good too). I find it heartbreaking because this is a movie where no one has a happy ending, but no one was acting with malicious intentions. Everyone did what they thought was best, but no one ends up happy (they all end up far from it). It's so sad. I now need to see Jennifer Connelly in a happy role because after this and Requiem...

This movie deserved it's critical roasting. It's absolutely brutal. I stand by my statement that Stephen King is completely overrated. If I proposed a novel in which the following events happened, I would be laughed out of town:

Four friends have special powers. Why? They saved a boy from eating dog shit. He can't speak properly and says his name is 'Duddits' instead of Douglas. This is endearing and cute, so they befriend him and he gives them powers.

Fast forward 20 years, and the men go on their annual trip to a cabin in snowy nowhere. While 2 men are at the store, one man who is still at the cabin saves a man who is wandering through the woods, lost. The lost man burps and farts profusely. He has something moving in his stomach.

All of the animals in the forest are traveling together in one direction. The 2 men notice this, then go check on the lost man. They see blood EVERYWHERE. They find him in the bathroom. An eel-like alien with fangs has come out of his ass.

I won't give anything else away, but it gets progressively more ridiculous and laughable. Morgan Freeman cannot save this movie. He just makes it worse, and I felt badly for him because he is brilliant. I wonder why he did this to himself. No one acts more convincingly than Donnie Wahlberg, 'Duddits', who gets to play a leukemia stricken disabled person who is really an alien.

The movie is 147 minutes. That translates to 2 hours and 27 minutes. That is brutally long. Nothing is scary, just gory or fake. This is a terrible movie, and makes me think Stephen King is a terrible author. Eel aliens that come out of people's asses? Seriously? Oh, yeah. The story takes itself VERY seriously, but if you've seen it than you know it's just a big joke.

Mean Creek
Mean Creek(2004)

Wow this is so good. It's so scary and so sad and so heartbreaking. I honestly have nothing else to say except that it's worth seeing and very very well made.

Bon Cop, Bad Cop

This was really good!! Being English and from Ontario with lots of family in Montreal, this was a totally interesting, funny story. Sure, there's some gratuitous sex and violence, but it's a pretty kick ass Canadian movie. Loved it.

Failure to Launch

Predictably predictable with all the cliches and then some. Matthew McConaughey is hot all in the body, but not so much the face. Sarah Jessica Parker tries to come off as intelligent, and fails. I hate fake looking animals that attack people. Hate it. It's really stupid. Um, basically, this is bad and I am mad that I saw it. I also generally dislike movies that try and create a formula for romance and do a shitty job... "I'm going to let him teach me something."

War of the Worlds

Just finished this. It's good. I actually liked Dakota Fanning. I think I may only dislike her in the role of horror film child. Anyway, obviously it's a little bit improbable... and yeah, it's a little long, but there are some great scenes and the 'twist' (it's kind of a twist, but kind of not) is good.

The morale of the story? No matter what tries to destroy the Earth, people will blow them to shit. Or try to blow them to shit. Failing that, something will happen, and people will live. Yaaaay!

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

Fuck, fuck, FUCK!

This wasn't good! It wasn't! Just another sequel with WAY too many special effects, a convoluted plot with useless developments (which are only to set up another movie, which based on this... it shouldn't be made) and trying to recreate the same jokes as the first movie. Why is the rum gone?

Wow, fuck off. I am pissed that it was so bad. And they are getting away with it, and making 3 more. The next one better be absolutely spectacular. Spectacular, or I will never see the final 2.

V for Vendetta

I really enjoyed the movie. It was solid. It was interesting. It had an intriguing plot. It had chemistry, it had action... lots of sword fighting (which was actually cool). What I didn't like: Hugo Weaving. I could not stand when he spoke. Call me stupid, but half the time I had no idea what he was saying! The mask, as well, cracked me up. Especially (SPOILER) when Natalie Portman kissses the mask. That's just stupid.

I wanted a phantom of the opera moment. :-(

Overall, really good and I enjoyed it and it's solid and worth watching. I think, honestly, it's more interesting if you watch it while you look for connections and parallels between the events in the movie and real life. Worth my time.

A History of Violence

I really liked this. I really really really did. I liked the story, I liked the characters, I thought Cronenberg created a mood really well. I just really enjoyed the movie. I suppose I have to comment on the sex, so.... Despite not being bothered by the sex, I personally found it a bit dragged out. I get the point, you know? Anyway, really good movie. I'm glad I finally saw it.

Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan

Oh, man. Where to start. First, yeah it's funny. It's consistently funny, and the whole movie made me laugh. There were some parts that lagged, for me, personally. Naked wrestling, for example. The movie also starts off with more of an underlying message that shows through the way American's react to Borat. But, as the movie progresses, it kind of just turns into a buch of crazy. Funny crazy, but still, WTF. I can see how lots of people would hate it, but I can also see why lots of people love it.

Freddy vs. Jason

This is awesomely bad, but simultaneously genius. I completely loved it, because it was bad, and it was so bad, that it was amazing. Get it?

Hmm. I didn't find myself hugely interested, or emotionally invested in the movie until the last half hour or so. I thought the ending was brilliant, except for the aftermath captions. I hate aftermath captions, you know, like "person x did this whoo!" and "this happened to person y." I thought the initial idea was kind of cool, but it didn't really grab me. But it was better than a lot of movies and I really like M. Night. Well, I did. Until The Village Lady In The Water.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. it was on TV, nothing else was, um, not much else to say. Britney Spears can't act or sing, but that's not big news... Oh, the guy was kinda hot and he was on CSI this one time.

Daddy Day Care

Aww this was so cute. I love kids. They're so cute. I also thought Eddie Murphy was generally tolerable. And how about gender stereotypes?

Just My Luck
Just My Luck(2006)

lmao. lame but it's fun. it's also kind of an interesting concept, i suppose. karma, luck, all that stuff. anyway, i didn't hate it, didn't love it, and it's really not funny at all. i don't know why i'm not using capitals but i apologize to everyone who gets pissed of at it.

Black and white really isn't my thing. I NEED COLOUR STIMULATION AND SPECIAL EFFECTS. That's just how it is. And I STLL thought this was a good movie. Good, but not great. What makes it so perfect? How do I know I'm a 21st century kid? I wanted more things to explode.

Hocus Pocus
Hocus Pocus(1993)

Mulholland Drive

Wow, this was weird. This was totally crazy. It was good, I guess. I was engaged, despite the fact that mostly I was like, "WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING?" I'm not sure what exactly happened. Wow, that was crazy. I think I should see it again; apparently it starts to make more sense on a second viewing.

OH MAN CHRISTIAN SLATER. This movie is actually not that bad, but it is basically pointless and way too over the top.

Down With Love

OK. I watched it. There was in all honesty nothing else on TV. It was actually kind of good, kind of strange, kind of amusing, kind of entertaining. The end was kind of unexpected, and I can't decide whether I liked it or not... It was actually worth watching, though. I have no regrets.

The Bourne Identity

I'm sorry when I say this (I really am), but... what's so great about it? I found it slow. Interesting, yeah... but sloooowwww. When it's sloooowwwww all stretched out, it means I was BORED for some of it. Still good though. Might have to see it again.

I know it's a spoof. But it's a painful spoof, and all the jokes fell flat for me. I, as well as everyone watching with me, fell asleep. Yeah, ha ha... Snore.

Requiem for a Dream

This is another movie that is hard to rate, because it's so unique stylistically, and it's the first movie I've watched about addiction. The other thing that makes it hard to rate, is the fact that it is definately not a fun experience. The intensity just builds and builds, and the viewer isn't spared anything. We have to watch as the characters succumb to their respective addictions, and turn a blind eye to the deterioration they're going through. Ellen Burstyn's character had the saddest story for me, because all she wanted was to be happy and beautiful again, and her addiction turned her into one of the saddest characters in a movie, ever. All of the leads were amazing. Ellen Burstyn, Jared Leto, Marlon Wayans, and especially Jennifer Connelly... Even if it was acting, her end scenes were sickening. There really is no sugarcoating, and the scene where the results of all of the characters respective addictions are culminated into furious cuts between all 4 of them in dire circumstances literally made me want to throw up. The power and intensity of this movie is amazing. Oh, and wow, everyone uses the music from this. Great music.

The Sixth Sense

This actually is really great. It's not necessarily frightening, but there are some creepy parts and I did jump a few times... It would have been better if: 1) I HADN'T PREDICTED THE END AND BEEN RIGHT. I hate that. 2) It was a liiitttlle shorter. I seem to have a shorter and shorter attention span, but I definately would have been happy with 10 minutes less. It was a really good story, and all the acting was amazing. Really good. Best M. Night movie I have seen (that doesn't mean much anymore though...)

High School Musical

As if everyone likes this. Get lobotomized. Or maybe you have been, because you have to be severely screwed in the head to like this. Um, Ashley Tisdale is a huge c-u-.... you know where I'm going.

Oh, man. I wanted this to be good. I really, genuinely wanted to enjoy this movie. I find Jodie Foster is always entertaining, and I thought that maybe this would be a smart psychological thriller.

I believe that is the only time you will see the word smart associated with thriller, in relation to Flightplan.

Maybe if the plot wasn't so ridiculous, maybe if the plane wasn't copletely over the top, and maybe if Jodie Foster was a convincing mom, I would have liked this. Unfortunately, it follows the sad, sad story of a "Oh, she's crazy, oh, and no she's not!!" It would have been better if she actually never had a daughter, and they gave her a big ol' needle full of sedative. That would have been creepy.

Instead, little Julia isn't a figment of a lonely woman's imagination, she's just sleeping prettily in who the fuck knows where underneath, on top of the airplane? The fact that 95% of the movie takes place on a plane means that that plane has to be the biggest fucking plane ever, just to give locations a bit of variety. Oh, oh, um, Star Trek: The Next Generation called, and they want their fucking spaceship back. (yes, weak joke) There was no plane in this movie. There was a big mishmash of tunnels and dining rooms and storage areas and crevices.

I've already half given away the ending, and I won't spoil the rest for anyone who is going to endure an hour and forty minutes of convoluted crap. There are just so many loose ends, and you can fill some of them with pure imagination, but unfortunately, I just wanted some real answers.

This really wasn't very good. Nope. Do not reccomend it.

Edit: Just changed the rating to lower, because I just remembered how it pissed me off, and I'm mad because it just robbed me of another precious minute of life.

Scary Movie 3

One of the funniest movies I have ever seen. Totally love it. I think it's the best one, definately, and I think I understand it all because now I've seen all the movies it makes fun of. Love it. Love it. Love it.

The Fox and the Hound

Definately one of my favourite Disney movies.

The Others
The Others(2001)

This is pretty good. I was kind of disappointed, because I wanted it to be a little more scary. But that would have pushed the PG-13 rating. It was pretty smart, I loved the twist(s) at the end, and there was some suspense. No real jump scenes, but there was tension throughout.

Wow! Nicole Kidman did a really stellar job. And those kids, too. Especially the little boy. I wanted to hug him. Um, didn't really see the point in having the husband come and go...?

I also thought it was a bit long, and towards the end, I found myself going "Okay, 14 minutes left... 10 minutes left..." That can be a good thing, because it meant I wanted explanations, but a bad thing, because it I had definately lost some interest and just wanted the end and the wrap up.

Super Size Me

Good, but I didn't stop eating fast food. I like fast food.

Grizzly Man
Grizzly Man(2005)

Wow. This was actually a really amazing experience. At first, we (well, I) was on the floor laughing, because it was so bizarre, but it gets so much more tragic because you come to see Timothy in an intimate light. The viewer is witness to his inner thoughts, his raw emotion, and through interviews we learn his history. I know more about this man that I have never met than I do about people I encounter every day, which is very surreal knowledge.

I expected laughs, jokes, and yes, there are some moments that are just too bizarre not to laugh at, but there's also a lot of melancholy and sadness for Timothy, the bear protector, and there are some truly beautiful shots in his footage.

March of the Penguins

I'm not going to lie... this put me to sleep. It could be because I find Morgan Freeman's voice unbelievably soothing and it lulls me to a sweet dream world, but I think it might have something more to do with me being supertired, and watching it in Civics... I think I should watch this again.

Running Scared

This was very good. Full of action and ass-kicking, but also there was a lot of emotion and a genuinely interesting (read: totally twisted) plot (to me, anyway). I can't say I absolutely loved the visuals, but they were pretty good (I did find them a teeny tiny eensy weensy bit disctracting), but it does have a very distinct style and that is worthy of conratulations. This is a very good movie. Paul Walker is hot.

Where the Red Fern Grows

Hah, we watched this a long time ago in school. I remember it was OK, but I never like movies about animals. Except for My Dog Skip and animated Disney movies (the classics like Fox and theHound, not that crap that's being released now). It was pretty good, I bet, just not my kind of movie and I barely remember it now, anyway.

Hotel Rwanda
Hotel Rwanda(2004)

Really powerful. It's so hard to stomache when you remember that basically, it really happened. Don Cheadle was amazing.

10 Things I Hate About You

So, 10 Things I Love About This Movie. No, I won't do that. It is a good movie, though. The guidance counselor is classic.

The Ring
The Ring(2002)

I do not care what anyone says. This movie is freaky, and I thought it was clever.

Love and Basketball

I found this a really emotional movie. The relationships are so genuine, and it draws you in. I love it because the ending isn't a real hollywood ending. Sure, there's a pretty happy ending, but the tragedy in the movie is seen in the end as well. Great story.

Anchorman - The Legend Of Ron Burgundy

Everyone knows the lines from this... Scotch, Sex Panther, the random news station riot, it's absolutely hilarious. Great movie, and only Will Ferrel could have pulled it off.

A Knight's Tale

I have seen this so many times. It's classic.

Lots of people can't get over the dialogue in the movie, and if that's the only reason they don't like the movie... fuck 'em. This is a really good movie. The leads are stellar, the soundtrack is absolutely amazing, and it's very entertaining.

The Shawshank Redemption

Brilliant. That's all there is to it. There are no flaws in this movie, that I can think of. No, it's not too long. It's a perfect length. It's perfectly written, perfectly acted and perfectly edited. Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins are absolutely amazing. I flat-out love this movie. It's awesome.

Orange County

This is a comedy, yeah, and it's pretty funny. But it's also got some really interesting themes and ideas in it; can we really get away from where we came from? Aren't our roots a critical part of who we are? It's a really good movie, funny, but not brainless.

This was pretty good. I have nothing against Nic Cage, so you know. It's smart, interesting, kinda funny, mostly crazy. Cage is really good. Streep, too. Excellent. And Chris Cooper was great. Really interesting ideas. I really liked the way that the past and present were intertwined. There's also some great dialogue. This is a movie I would love to discuss and pick apart. It's really clever.

Red Planet
Red Planet(2000)

Um... Did I see this? I'm going to say.... yes. I don't remember it though, and um, Carrie Anne Moss. Ew.

Mystic River
Mystic River(2003)

I really, really enjoyed this. It's pretty heavy, but that's what makes it good. It's a very sad and powerful story.

The Sound of Music

Wow. I have seen this movie so many times. You know that when you watch a 4 hour movie more than once, it's really really good. I also own the fantastic soundtrack, thank you very much.

Ocean's Twelve

Hey... I forgot I saw this. All I remember is that Julia Roberts played... Julia Roberts. Bruce Willis played... Bruce Willis. Yeah, props for the acting. Alright movie. Nothing to write home about.

Bridget Jones's Diary

This is entertaining. Power to fat Renee.

Maid in Manhattan

Totally average in every way.

50 First Dates

Crap. Maybe it wasn't that bad and I'm being overly harsh because Adam Sandler gets under my skin and lays eggs which turn into flesh eating bugs that rip me apart from the inside out. Or maybe it was that bad, you know, with a moronic plot, zero chemistry, and overall brutal performances. I guess it's just a mystery. Oh! Another thing. I think this movie sucks more STD infected dick than the ho bag slut faces at my school. :-)

The Royal Tenenbaums

Excellent in strange ways. Wes Anderson often makes strange films. Good, strange films. In all seriousness, I really really enjoyed this movie because it finds a unique line between comedy and drama, which is a more interesting way of saying it's a black comedy. Everytime I see the title, I think 'Hm. That was a good movie.'

School of Rock

The thing is, Jack Black is revolting. This movie has some pretty funny moments, though. And some parts lean towards 'heart-warming'.

Remember the Titans

Wow. This was such an awesome movie. I was completely engaged and invovled in the story, they handled the race issues really well, and really captured the essence of a team. I loved it. So genuine!

Little Shop of Horrors

It's entertaining, Steve Martin and Bill Murray absolutely make the movie. It can be a little plodding and a little boring, but I think that comes from my tiny 'i don't like musicals' thought line. It's a good watch, but it's not something I want to see OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

You know you have a bad horror movie when the whole theatre is openly laughing. I would typically end this with an 'enough said', but I have more. This movie is upsetting, because it takes an interesting concept (we will be destroyed through our technology, we don't know where to stop, etc.) and brutalizes it until it seems completely ridiculous. This movie has no answers or logic. 'Use this [red tape]. It stops them. I don't know why'. It's like, where does that come from? It's like saying, "Oh, put a big blue bucket on your head and you're safe!" I mean, come on. Kristen Bell had acne and everything was DIRTY. I feel like I have syphillis. I need a shower. Fuck this movie sucks really bad. Don't see it.

One of the most incredible movies I have ever seen. I love basketball, but that's not what the movie is really about. It's about hate, love, betrayal and passion. An amazing story, it's SO GOOD AND I LOVE IT. (based on shakespeare's othello...)

Friday the 13th Part VIII - Jason Takes Manhattan

Possibly the most genius movie ever to be created. It's sad that people are unable to recognize it.

Well, I mean, it was OK. Blake Lively has magical breasts. The movie has not much plot, really, it has not much anything. That's okay though, because it is brain candy with inspirational speeches! It was fun. I enjoyed it. I'll forget about it soon...

Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London

Franalskdf Muinasdfsdf. Enough said. Plus... it's really retarded and cliched and retarded.

All I remember is there is a prominent 'F' word and we watched it at school. That means automatic awesome.

A Christmas Carol

I've definately seen every version of A Christmas Carol, EVER. This is a solid one, I have a soft spot for Patrick Stewart, he does very well. It's a great story. BTW: 1000th rating, bitches!!

Cast Away
Cast Away(2000)

I actually could not finish it. What the hell?

Bringing Down the House

Haha. I remember really enjoying it when I saw it for the first time. I watch it on TV a lot, and it is a good movie to waste time to.

I have always loved this story. LOVED.

I SAW THIS. <3333333333333

Kangaroo Jack

Oh man. I forgot that I saw this.

But I'm a Cheerleader

I don't get it, really. Yeah, I know, satire. but I don't think satire is my biggest strong suit, you know?

Spice World
Spice World(1998)

Well aware of the total and complete awfulness that is the movie. Um, but, yeah, so... I love it... Am I rating it based on the quality of the movie, in terms of script/acting, etc. Yes. But, throw all that aside, and it's 5 stars... so yeah.

Scary Movie 4

It's not as funny as the other ones, that's for sure. It still provided me with amusement.

This movie is so cute!! I love how it works out perfectly and I love that they're meant to be together. Amazingly adorable and lovely. stfu i'm allowed to be a sucker sometimes.

The Princess Diaries

I own this. I watch it when I'm sick and/or sad.

The Human Stain

Hm... I honestly think I would have gotten more out of the novel than I did from the movie. I don't know if it was just me, but I was a bit confused throughout, and I wasn't really that interested in the story. Actually, I found it difficult to figure out what the story was supposed to be. There was a lot going on. Maybe I wasn't sophisticated enough to understand the movie. Maybe I missed the point. Nicole Kidman was really really good, Gary Sinise was pretty good, but Anthony Hopkins didn't exactly impress... In all honesty, it wasn't that interesting, and I wouldn't recommend, or discourage anyone from seeing it. Bottom line: It just wasn't my kind movie, it has some good things going on, but it has some not so good things as well.

Date Movie
Date Movie(2006)

Wow, this wasn't even funny at all. Very few laughs, very few chuckles. Very few smiles. Plenty of cringes, though. Plenty of "Fuck, why am I watching this?!" I'm trying to remember a bit that actually made me laugh, but like, there really is nothing. I suppose some of the spoofs border on semi-intelligent. Maybe. Almost. Sort of. Bottom line? This is seriously bad. Yeah, I love the Scary Movies, but this is just shitty. Don't see it.

The Matrix
The Matrix(1999)

KEANU I LOVE YOU. Seriously, though, this movie is so good! It makes you think and keeps you entertained. What more can I ask for?

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Overrated... I found the pace unbearable, but the idea brilliant. I just didn't have the patience for it, not at all. Elijah Wood is pathetic, Kirsten Dunst is passable, but Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet are amazing.

Baby Geniuses

I'm aware of it's terrible-ocity. I loved it and watched it repeatedly when I was young. I used to adore it, but ... yeah. It's retarded.

Child's Play
Child's Play(1988)

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what is so fucking scary about a fucking plastic doll, with a fucking plastic fucking knife fuck Chucky. Like, come on. Fuck.

Back to the Future Part III

All of the BTF movies are great.

The Butterfly Effect

MINDFUCK. This is a mindfuck movie. This is actually very very good, and screwed with my head. Very very interesting. Seriously. But oh, my god, sometimes it's so sad. Like, caring about someone that much, but never being able to be with them no matter what? "Would it make a difference if I told you that no one could possibly ever love anyone as much as I love you?"

I Heart Huckabees

This movie is actually hilarious and very very crazy. I'ts unique, I love it. Totally weirdly great.

Mambo Italiano

Amusing. Yes. Very. I laughed a lot. It's totally raunchy. I love raunchy movies. It actually deals with gay relationships in a really good way, and pulls off all the comedy.

John Tucker Must Die

It hurts me because this movie was good for about 70% of the run time. It was entertaining, engaging, and almost smart. However, the ending is the most random and stupid thing ever. The movie comes to it's climax, and then... someone throws a piece of cake. Then there's a food fight. Nothing is tied up properly. It's a complete cop-out, so the movie could say it was all nice and good at the end. It would have been a better movie if it had balls, like Heathers. The title and previews imply a much more cutting movie, and this doens't even match Mean Girls. Yeah, it's vapid entertainment, but it could have been SO SO SO much better. Goddamn. Though, to be fair, it is PG-13.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding

All Greek and amusing. I liked this.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Good. Not as good as the books, but I mean, that's often what happens.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

Very amazingly cinematic and stuff. It's good. I enjoy it.

Walk the Line

Not as good as I wanted it to be. :-( I found it to be slow, and a bit on the boring side. I liked Ray a lot better.

Back to the Future

One of the first non animated movies I ever saw.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

So adorable and lovely and sad and awesome. Not as true to the book as I would have liked, and the ending was kind of "WTF" but it was still totally good.

The Matrix Reloaded

Sure, yeah, The Matrix movies get kind of shittier... but they are still all good.

Haha, I have seen this so many times. It's priceless, smart and funny and amazingly entertaining. I love the special features on the DVD.

Dudley Do-Right

Oh god, how many times have I seen this? Lord, lord, lord. I remember laughing, almost uproariously when I was a child. Perhaps it is actually funny, or perhaps I was just a child. Either way, it gave me amusement.

The World Is Not Enough

This is the only Bond movie I've ever seen. I just don't care, really.

Old School
Old School(2003)

This is a very funny movie, featuring the 'frat pack' in all of its glory. Definately one of the funniest movies I've ever seen, seriously.

Little Women
Little Women(1994)

So cute. I love it.

It's kind of weird. I never really liked it that much. It's OK.

This is very good. I enjoyed it very much. I don't remember really what happened and stuff, but I do remember it being good. So yeah.

Not Another Teen Movie

This is pretty funny, I guess. I haven't seen ALL the movies it goes after, so I guess some jokes were wasted on me. Overall, I laughed, and was amused, because it takes all the cliches and stupid jokes from other movies and makes them stupider.

Cats & Dogs
Cats & Dogs(2001)

This definately was pretty bad.

The Wedding Planner

This would by a guilty pleasure movie.

Pretty Persuasion

This movie is fucked in the head, but Evan Rachel Wood is brilliant, as usual. I didn't get all the satire and some of it was very unappreciated because it is actuallynot that funny sometimes. However, I did laugh and I did enjoy it and it wasn't a waste of time and it's smart. It's very smart, but I think it gets confused. That's why it's not a 5 star movie for me. Is it a drama? A comedy? A satire? A social-issue movie? You can't make half of a movie just vicious and cutting, and then turn it into a drama. I didn't want it to become serious at the end, I wanted it to stay sarcastic and satirical because that's what the rest of the movie had been.

"There is no such thing as a mistake. There are things you do, and things you don't do." The story kept me engaged, and I liked that the ending wasn't a neat, close the book type ending. It kind of leaves you to make your own conclusions. It's true, it does get slightly predictable, but the actors are engaging enough for that to not matter. Good movie.

South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut

South Park is very very profane, offensive but also very very hilarious. I laughed the whole way through. It cuts so bad and it's so priceless. "I'm sorry Wendy, but I don't trust anything that bleeds for five days and doesn't die."

The Aristocats

This honestly was one of my favourites.

She's the Man

I was able to suspend my disbelief, and that's why I loved this movie. It's fun and lighthearted, and never takes itself too seriously. Amanda Bynes has some great moments, and David Cross is absolutely hilarious. Much much much better than I expected. Fun and easy to watch.!

Forrest Gump
Forrest Gump(1994)

I didn't think there was anything particularly amazing about this movie?

Max Keeble's Big Move

Max Keeble had sex with his mom. You know its true.

From Justin To Kelly

Does this movie have a purpose? No. Is it good? No. Should you watch it? No. Should I have watched it? No. Should every copy be destroyed? YES.

Wrong Turn
Wrong Turn(2003)

Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen

There was no one in the theatre. Unfortunately, when I left the theatre, I realized why. This movie is really terrible.

Spy Kids 3-D - Game Over

The first one was good. The second one was OK. The third one? I won't even go there.

Uma Thurman is disgusting, always and without exception. Matthew McCoansdf name can't be spelt and shouldn't be in movies. Joan Cusack is just terrible in everything. What do you get when you combine ugly with crap times two? An ugly piece of shit. What's an ugly piece of shit? Prime!!!!

Big Fat Liar
Big Fat Liar(2002)

I hate Frankie Munizlsjdf. If you can't spell someones name, then they shouldn't be allowed in movies.

Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey

Just, no. Why, why is there 2?

Bring It On Again

Kick your fucking face in, again.

Soul Plane
Soul Plane(2004)

If I was HIGH ALL THE TIME, I might have njoyed this.

Seed of Chucky

The title cracks me up, and I don't that is a good way to start a horror movie. Seed? As in sperm? As in a plastic little dolly has a penis and balls? And bangs another plastic doll? And the other plastic doll has a VAGINA? HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Romeo + Juliet

Actually one of the largest piles of crap to be created. Did anyone else notice that Claire Danes eyes kept changing colour? Did anyone else notice that the movie sucked ass?

Thirteen Ghosts (13 Ghosts)

This movie is a piece of shit, and that's putting it nicely. They lost me when they showed the very first shot of the house. WTF? It is scary, definately. And by scary, I mean retarded.

We watched this today!!! I didn't enjoy it as much as the rest of the people I watched it with. The premise was interesting, and the story kept me guessing. The ending was a half surprise. I just found it kind of lengthy? I felt like it took a loooong time to finish despite the fact it is actually pretty short. Overall, it's a fun movie because it's not a typical slasher flick... which Evil Breed is. Never watch it. OH! Jared Padelecki is hot.

This movie is like nothing I have seen before; it is completely brilliant in a completely different way. The way it offers no explanation for tragedy, but makes it so tangible, is incredible. It may not be a 5 star movie, but I have never seen anything like it and so in conclusion I am going to give this movie 4 1/2 stars :-)

This was brutal. It gets... 1/2 a star for boobs, and another half a star for hot guys. Neither of these things make it a quality movie and, now that I'm thinking about it... it is actually a very low quality movie. I'm going to be honest though? I just happen to enjoy hot people eating other hot people.

Brokeback Mountain

Overrated. The movie is slow, plodding, and at times boring. It would be equally, if not more, boring if the relationship was between a woman and man. Me disliking the movie had nothing to do with the sexuality, but everything to do with it being BORING. I might have to see it again, though. I think I should, because clearly everyone else loves it so I must have missed something.

The Nutty Professor

These movies are strange with an odd charm.

This was always one of my favourite stories.

Implausible? Maybe a little, but it's hard to deny the power in this movie. It's so scary, because if you're a teen or if you remember being a teen you know that shit happens... The movie doesn't spare you anything, it doesn't sugarcoat, and it makes you hurt for Tracy. Despite her amazing performance, Evan Rachel Wood isn't even the star. Holly Hunter deserves so much credit it's not even funny. She was brilliant.

The Notebook
The Notebook(2004)

Some people have written this off as a chick flick. I highly adivse them to give it a chance. Yeah, you've got to invest yourselves in the story (but that's not hard, because Rachel, Ryan, Gena and James do an amazing job at pulling you in immediately) but it is truly touching and I have never been in a room where there was more tears.

The Incredibles

This was not plain old Disney. It was great to watch - the animation was awesome. The story was touching and it made me laugh. It really surprised me how much I liked it, which is always nice.

Ocean's Eleven

I love when stuff blows up. Call me a man. You'd be wrong and then I would blow you up. I know there aren't even that many explosions in this movie, but it's slick and entertaining. I would definately watch it again. Maybe again and again... we'll see.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

It was overrated. So many people told me it was so great, but I often found my mind wandering and I was disinterested through most of the movie. Depp is great, yeah, that's almost a given, but it is by no means an excellent, or even above average, movie.

Finding Nemo
Finding Nemo(2003)

E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial

Freaked me out but I simultaneously loved it when I was young... I haven't seen it for a long time though.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

Who doesn't like this movie? Everyone likes this movie. Except for the 126011 people that havne't seen it. Death to them because this is another amazingly entertaining movie.

Pretty Woman
Pretty Woman(1990)

Saw it on TV. Nothing special. Kinda entertaining. I didn't care if I missed some, but I wanted to see the end... Julia Roberts plays a hooker.

The Day After Tomorrow

Yeah, this movie gets two stars for Jake Gyllenhaal... just like every movie he has ever been in. So, this movie gets half a star for an almost interesting concept, special effects and Emmy Rossum.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith

Wow, I enjoyed this much more than I thought I would. It's pure entertainment, because both of them are absolutely amazingly good looking, and they have hardcore chemistry. I love sexually charged films.

Bruce Almighty

This was adequate... I find the concept interesting. It had a few laughs, and a few "stfu"s directed to Jim Carrey... ah, but what's this? Morgan Freeman? Fuck, yeah!!!

Meet the Fockers

BEN STILLER. I won't say anything else.

American Pie
American Pie(1999)

I found it boring? Was it just me?

It was OK. I'm not a huge fan of superhero movies, though. I also HATE Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst so that contributed to it. I did almost cry when the old man died because I think old people dying is sad... It's average, but nothing special.

What Women Want

This movie cracks me up, because it's strange.

The Big Empty

Great indie flick. Awesomely funny and awesomely quirky. I loved it.

Rumor Has It
Rumor Has It(2005)

This was really dumb. Um, Kevin Costner and Jennifre Aniston should never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever even be in the same bed, and though it's a neat idea, the movie is long and kinda bad. I mean, it's not brutal, it's watchable, but I won't see it again.

Session 9
Session 9(2001)

So. Yeah. It freaked me out pretty badly, and it made me squirm and get very creeped out and afraid. Unfortnately, David Caruso blows. Hey, hey, David? I have a message: F*** YOUUU!!!

Mystery Men
Mystery Men(1999)

Wow, see, I watched this again on Showcase, and it's actually really funny. WTF was I doing when I rated it and put it on the shitlist? WTF? I mean, it has Ben Stiller so there's no way it can be bad.

Team America: World Police

The whole puppet thing got old after a few minutes. Not as funny as it should have been. Not as good as it should have been. But, seeing as how everyone else loves it... maybe I should watch it again and with friends.

The Lizzie McGuire Movie

Hah... please don't see it. One star because I was in a sappy mood. Another half star because Hilary Duff falls in a shower and it's really funny.

White Chicks
White Chicks(2004)

painful x.x This is one of the most brutal movies I've ever seen. The humour is so low that it actually isn't funny, but painful. Of course, this is a Wayans brothers compilation... It's just ridiculous, and I wish I hadn't seen it because afterwards I wanted to kill everyone in the room and commit suicide. Hah. Yeah. It's a reeeally funny movie.

Big Fish
Big Fish(2003)

Long, but worth it. This is a solid movie. I can't rave about it, because I really didn't love it. I was aware, however, it was well crafted and I was fairly interested mostly.

From what I saw, it sucked badly.

The Upside of Anger

I loved the cast and all the charactres, but somehow I wasn't very drawn into the story. It's definately a bit heavier than I expected it to be and it seemed to me that it's a bit over the top. Is that what makes it a comedy? I have to admit, I didn't watch the whole thing, but the ending (as I was told) seemed a bit odd...

Cruel Intentions

I adore this movie. It's seductive, cruel, twisted, hilarious, and brilliantly done. Ryan Phillippe is amazing, and I wouldn't have bet on Reese Witherspoon doing an amazing job, either. Regardless, it's so great. It loses 1/2 a star because the ending is kind of WTF. It's not bad... I was just like, WTF?

No, I didn't like it.

Very good. Soundtrack is excellent, and the movie is good, too. The cast is very solid: Cruise, Foxx, Ruffalo and Jada Pinkett Smith. I absolutely love watching this movie because something about it's visuals just draws me in.

Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price

Not as good as Outfoxed, that's for sure. It's OK... I was entertained.

Home Fries
Home Fries(1998)

Awww. This was cute. I was amused and engaged all the way through. Drew Barrymore is so painfully loveable, and I now want Luke Wilson to be my friend.

Superman Returns

I wasn't interested in seeing this. I was still disappointed. The plot is very thin, and yet the movie is 2:30h? There is never a bona fide confrontation between Superman and supervillain Lex. Lois Lane was just irritating. This one also failed to invovle me emotionally, even though I went in with a blank slate. I found it confusing, long, and dry. Oh! Predictable, also. It's not a good thing when you recite the lines before you see the movie. Ahh! I also believe that Superman is a flawed hero. Invincible? Oh, except for that everyday substance which is kryptonite. Besides, if he's so invincible and such a saviour... why doesn't he solve the world's real problems instead of stopping a crashing vehicle? Why doesn't he destroy nuclear weapons? WTF SUPERMAN. U SUX BALLZ.

Mary Poppins
Mary Poppins(1964)

<3 Julie Andrews makes me happy inside.

Stay Alive
Stay Alive(2006)

What I saw? Pure brutal shit. I only watched about 20 minutes.

Along Came Polly

You know, this isn't really a drama. At all. It's kinda funny, but also kinda boring and stupid. Ben Stiller gets an automatic star. The ferret thing gets another and Jennifer Aniston gets half a star, because I like her better than Angelina.

Ella Enchanted

Ewww! Um, like, wtf? The book owns y'all, and the movie kinda was bad.

The Lake House

This was a solid film. The ending is kinda predictable, but it doesn't make the movie less enjoyable because you don't know how it's going to get to that point. Some of the romance between Sandra and Keanu is heartbreaking, and they both do a surprisingly good job. It's verrry clever. I had to think.

Glory Road
Glory Road(2006)

This was very disappointing. The basketball scenes were boring, and I had no emotional involvement in the sotry. I didn't feel the team faced enough adversity, and I felt like there were times when the film could have become a serious drama, but then it took the easy Disney way out.

The Secret of NIMH

Fuck yeah. I even read the fucking book, fuckers.

Ghost World
Ghost World(2001)

Wow. I was very impressed. The movie is strange, but that's what makes it so interesting and endearing. The whole movie is fairly low key, but the characters (particularly Steve Buscemi) are believable, and loveable in a strange, strange way... that's what keeps you interested, and watching. Because it's actually quite long.

FernGully - The Last Rainforest

Why did everyone love it? Why!? I found it very lonely whenever this movie was played at a sleepover, because I would go fetal in the corner because it SUCKED.

Land Before Time X: The Great Longneck Migration

UM HELLO? With a name like this, how can you not ADORE IT? Unfortunately, I can't say it was a childhood favourite, because I was 12 when I saw it. Aw, whatever. It counts.

Robin Hood: Men in Tights

Oh, it was funny when I was 7. I haven't seen it for awhile, though.

Robin Hood
Robin Hood(1973)

Always loved this story.

The Sword in the Stone

I have nothing to say about this.

The Jungle Book

I never liked this one that much.

The Parent Trap

Another 'loved as a kid' movie.

101 Dalmatians

Loevd when I was little... not so much now.

Lady and the Tramp

<333 Even though I hate animals. :-P

I love it. LOVE it.

The Land Before Time

I absolutely loved these when I was a kid. LOVED.

Billy Madison

Eh... Not so much. Stupid, yeah, funny, not really, um, that's all I have to say about it.

The Chorus (Les Choristes)

Totally good! Very good. Sad, sad, sad, but also good. And has a happy ending. :-)

Muppet Treasure Island

I definately love the Muppets. Hardcore.

Suspect Zero
Suspect Zero(2004)

Wow, this is so bad. Definately one of the stupidest movies I've ever seen. Anything involving Carrie-Anne Moss and a rifle should end with a dead Carrie-Anne Moss with a rifle through her face. God. I can't stand Crarie-Anne Moss.

Fever Pitch
Fever Pitch(2005)

I saw it on a plane. It was only a tiiiny tiny bit more interesting than staring out the window. I would have given it 2 1/2 stars, but Drew Barrymore lifts it up.

Sweet Home Alabama

Oh, this movie is so awesome. I absolutely love it.

Yes, I know, it's absolutely terrible. However, I found myself highly amused. Queen Latifah does that to me.

Field of Dreams

I liked it. Yep. That's all.

Man on the Moon

Sorry Nick... from what I saw, I think I would have ended up dead if I watched the whole thing. Not my sense of humour...

Grosse Pointe Blank

This actually was very funny. I quite enjoy John Cusack, which could be why I enjoyed it. Come on, YOU KNOW HE'S GREAT.

Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood

Watched on TV automatically means that its incapable of getting 4 stars. It's on TV.

Passport to Paris

Hahahaha. I love the Olsen twins.

Raising Arizona

I'm not a huge fan of the Cohen brothers, and I have to admit that I didn't 100% watch the movie, but I think if I had, it would have been 4 stars.

Hey! This movie was kinda funny. Good for some laughs, it's kind of old but if you see it on TV it's not a total waste of life.

In Good Company

It wasn't terrible, it wasn't amazing. Scarlett Johansson is always good. Dennis Quaid is irritating, and Topher Grace is so cute. :-)

So great, and Phil Collins has the best songs ever.

A Christmas Carol

By far the best version of a Christmas Carol that I have seen. Alastair Sim is craaazy.

Fahrenheit 9/11

1 star for being a documentary. For being an entertaining movie: 5 stars. Average that to 4. Yeah, it's mostly propaganda, but it is engaging propaganda.

Dude, Where's My Car?

Very terrible, but I did laugh a lot.

:-) :-) :-) This movie makes me smile so I want to see 'The New World'

Most definately the best Disney story. By far. So lovely.

Dirty Dancing

Shelby reminded me that yes, I have seen this. Seeing as how it definately didn't resonate... it is OK.

A Bug's Life
A Bug's Life(1998)

This is one of my favourite Disney films. :)

Yeahh... cute.

American Beauty

Oh my god! This movie was amazing. It's an incredible story, and kept me well engaged throughout. It was nothing like I expected, but still managed to exceed expectations and completely overwhelm me. Awesome. I'm so glad I saw it.

The Lion King

<333333 I used to pretend I was a lion.

Cheaper by the Dozen

Yeah, I was previously uninterested. But it was the only thing on TV one night. It's average. Steve Martin, though great, gets irritating. That always happens though.

Wayne's World

It's dated, and painfully moronic, but it still manages to be watchable.

Yeah, it's funny.

This was much, much, much better than I expected it to be. It's far from a filmmaking masterpiece, but it's solid.

Sleeping Beauty

My favourite Disney movie.

I forget this movie. Can't have been that good, then.

Toy Story
Toy Story(1995)

This one always freaked me out, and was not nearly my favourite.

The Kid
The Kid(2000)

I don't remmeber tihs movie. I do remember watching it. Therefore, it must have been mediocre.

The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!

I have seen about 30 mins of this. From what I saw, very retarded but amusing.

The Rookie
The Rookie(2002)

Yesss! Sports movie!

Yes, I know it was a satire. I know. I understood that. I'm not like, "omg i cnt bleve how bad tihs was not evne funny!11!" I just thought the movie didn't know what it the hell it was doing. I don't know how long it actually is, but it felt like it took a week to watch. The only funny parts are when she tries to commit suicide, and her ex boyfriend goes off the cliff.

This movie sucks and is awesome, simultaneously. I can't comprehend it.

Romeo Must Die

Wooow, this is a bad movie. And I LIKE Aaliyah.

Rush Hour
Rush Hour(1998)

Better than I expected.

Rush Hour 2
Rush Hour 2(2001)

Yeah these are funny.

I think this is excellent. It is on the Family Channel sometimes, and I watch it!

Free Willy
Free Willy(1993)

Yeah, I never even liked this movie as a child. Whales just aren't for me, I guess.

The Wedding Singer

Sorry, but what is so great about this movie!?

My favourite Disney movie when I was younger, except for the Little Mermaid.

Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story

Yeah, everyone else says it was terrible. But I love it. It's funny straight up.

Eh. I didn't find it that scary. It's good, but is it really supposed to be scary?

Saw II
Saw II(2005)

I can't take it seriously anymore :( But it was good the first time! I am in love with Jigsaw. In all honesty, it's scary and well crafted. There's thought behind the brutality; that's what makes it super good.

Friday the 13th Part 3

I love Jason!! He kicks the shit out of Freddy!!!!

Friday the 13th - The Final Chapter

<3333333 Amateur butcher? I think not. He's pro, and he's hot.

Friday the 13th Part VII - The New Blood

I will watch anything with Jason in it. Yummaaahh.

Friday the 13th Part 2

It is the low point of the series.

Friday the 13th

It was actually a decent enough movie. The more they made, the more terrible they got, but good terrible. My kind of terrible.

Poor!! Very poor!! I was too bored to finish it. I'm glad I didn't waste a full 2 hours of life, only about half.

The Iron Giant

No. I'm not into robots. Unless they blow the shit out of everything. Which the suck-ass Iron Giant didn't.

Donnie Darko
Donnie Darko(2001)

Yes, Jake Gyllenhaal can come to my house even if he is a complete psycho. Reeeally good movie.

The Longest Yard

See it if you like Adam Sandler or football or black guys. If those things don't appeal to you (and don't feel bad) then you should probably skip this one. It has a few laughs, but I don't think I'll see it again...

I never knew so much existed in drums and halftime shows. Then again, I didn't really care.

A Christmas Story

Every Christmas. Every single one. So great.

This is a good movie. Sad. :-(

Space Jam
Space Jam(1996)

This movie is brilliant. Just because I love the Looney Tunes & MJ. If you put them together, it's like, WHOA!

Behind Enemy Lines

Very very good. :-)

This movie is so stupid. But it is also so funny.

Changing Lanes

This was better than I thought it would be. Though, as I've said before, Samuel L. Jackson is always great. Ben Affleck was good, which is the reason why this is highly rated.

Fat Albert
Fat Albert(2004)

You know what? Being severely obese does not make me laugh. It makes me vomit in my mouth. Why is it okay for Albert to be disgustingly fat? As if he walks around and doesn't suffer severely awful chest pains every breath.

Cool Runnings

I love this movie. Straight up. It's like, Fat Albert meets White Chicks. Only it is really good, as opposed to those suck-ass excuses for movies.

Snow Dogs
Snow Dogs(2002)

I hate talking animals, but I love Cuba Gooding Jr.

Runaway Jury
Runaway Jury(2003)

Better than average, but I remember being disappointed because the book was excellent and the movie didn't live up.

The Forgotten

Uh... it was funny, but I don't think it was intended to be. I do like Julianne Moore, and I liked the concept... I just thought the ending was a cheap escape. It had a great setup, but then the climax was so not worth it. It wasn't a climax. It was an anti-climax.

Angels in the Outfield

Awwwww... this movie is a so nice and pleasant. Touching, but you won't bawl your eyes out. It's worth seeing, I think.

The Da Vinci Code

I liked it, because I'm not hardcore religious. Plus I am able to accept that it is a work of fiction. I also think that Paul Bettany is a fox. Even if he's albino and whips himself. In fact, he's foxier that way.

Cruel Intentions 2

WTF? Why did they make a prequel? It was unneccessary. Dickheads.

So I Married an Axe Murderer

Totally weird, but entertaining. Plus there's a great song in it. I don't remember what it is, exactly, but it's a great song.

Awww! I love it.

Hells yeah. This movie kicked serious ass, because not only did it have Colin Farrell and Samuel L. Jackson, it had lots of explosions and drama. YeeeAH.

Best in Show
Best in Show(2000)

This was quite good. I didn't want to see it, but I am really glad I did.

The Matrix Revolutions

Each movie was worse than the one before it. But since the first was one so great, there's room to go downhill.

Into the Blue

Yeah, Jessica Biel is hot. Yes, so is Paul Walker. Unfortunately, everything else is sucky and un-hot.

The Emperor's New Groove

Hehehe. I liked it when I was abouuuuttt... 7? Yeah. A good film for 7 year olds.

House of Wax
House of Wax(2005)

No... no. Not a good movie, in terms of plot, acting, dialogue, cinematography, direction, mood, soundtrack, location, etc. Everything, basically. However, it gets two stars for being THE classic teen slasher flick of the 21st century.

First half is wickkkkit... But it goes downhill. It couldn't sustain it's brilliance through the whole run time.

This Is Spinal Tap

Really strange, but really funny. I will admit that I thought it was serious until they killed all the drummers. What do I know?

Steel Magnolias

Uh... watched it on TV this time. Cute. Doesn't stand out, but it is a solid film.

Juwanna Mann
Juwanna Mann(2002)

Hah. Hah. Hah. Hah. Hah. Not that funny. But bearable, I suppose.

The Italian Job

Mark Wahlberg is great, no matter what. So is Charlize Theron. This is a pretty average action movie in terms of plot, but it's more than average because of the cast. :-)

Giving It Up
Giving It Up(1999)

Terrible. It's so awful, that I don't want to spend any more time on it. I wish I had my life back and I can't believe I watched it to the end. Not even one star. Negative stars.

Something's Gotta Give

Even though it is about old people getting it on, I enjoyed it. Plus, Keanu Reeves flexes the acting muscles and shows a career high 3 facial expressions. Awesome.

Starsky & Hutch

Little bit above average comedy, only because Ben Stiller, Vince Vaugh and Owen Wilson are sweet. Also, note that Snoop Dogg is in the movie and therefore I get street cred for watching it. Put all that together? 3 1/2 stars.

When you watch it in math class, you know it can't be that good. When there's a weird blind guy... you know it can't be good... hey, guess what? This movie wasn't good.

Million Dollar Baby

I cried so hard. Sobbed. Wiped snot on my sleeve. Sobbed some more. It's so so sad, but so so good.

Animal Farm
Animal Farm(1999)

It's not that I don't appreciate the message, because I do. It's just... I hate movies when animals talk. And when pigs sit at tables and snort? Come on. That's just not cool.

Coach Carter
Coach Carter(2005)

Sucker for a good sports movie! Samuel L makes me smile, and basketball is wiccckkkit.

Bride of Chucky

Crap... crap... crap... crap.. crap... Oh? There was two of them? DOUBLE EFFING CRAP. TWO! Two piles of poop.

The Even Stevens Movie

BURRRRN! I LOVE EVEN STEVENS. This movie is on the Family Channel. I watch it often, and enjoy it every time.

This was enjoyable, as is the book. Shia LaBeouf is cute, and perhaps talented. I haven't decided yet.

The Majestic
The Majestic(2001)

I really enjoyed this movie, though I expected not to. I didn't cry though...

Fine. I cried.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off

I have seen it too many times, but I do always enjoy it. Matthew Broderick, you make me smile and cringe at the same time! That's talent.

Major League
Major League(1989)

This is funny. That is all there is to it.

Strange, but interesting. Kinda funny, but more weird. I was surprised that I watched the whole thing, because it sounded really stuipd in the blurb.

The Abyss

Solid. Drags a bit, can be totally boring, but

The Abyss
The Abyss(1989)

Visually, really great. Underwater scenes are totally awesome. But, the plot drags, Ed Harris is kind of irritating... It is better than average, though.

The Master of Disguise

It's not even worth half of a star. This movie is pure crap. Die, Dana Carvey, die!

How to Get Ahead in Advertising

Big steamy pile of poo. Terrible. Useless.

Blue Crush
Blue Crush(2002)

Hey, guess what? Kate Bosworth will never make a genuinely good movie.

The Mothman Prophecies

Freaky because of the mood when we watched it. It was on TV the weekend after, and I turned it on at the chapstick scene... And then I realized it wasn't that scary.

Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle

Oh. My. God. This, despite being very short, was quite funny. And I thought it would be completely retarded...

Vicious. Twisted. Psycho. Yesss!!

Fly Away Home

Aww, so touching. My favourite movie when I was younger.

X2: X-Men United

MUTAAAANTS! I wish I was a mutant with the ability to only watch good movies.

Rat Race
Rat Race(2001)

Circle of Friends

I forgot this existed. I love Minnie Driver, but this movie blows.

The Pianist
The Pianist(2002)

Powerful stuff.

Scary Movie
Scary Movie(2000)

Yeah, I know, these all suck badly, but I love it.

Wedding Crashers

Funny. Really funny. Gotta love Vince and Owen.

Bowling for Columbine

Intense. Respect for Michael Moore.

Trippy, but awesome.

The Stepford Wives

I was so disappointed.

Stand by Me
Stand by Me(1986)

Ohh <33333! Whil Wheaton! <33333

Cute, and much better than I thought it would be.

Honey, I Shrunk the Kids

I USED TO WATCH THE TV SERIES>> It made me happy.

Scary Movie 2

Terrible, but I laughed. I am aware that it is awful, but I love it :-)

hahahahaha. I did use to love this one, but now, I'm gonna say NO.

Patch Adams
Patch Adams(1998)

Laughed & Cried. :-) :'(

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

It's FRENCH! And amusing yet stupid.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Stuuupid. Not my type of humor.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

Guilty pleasure, fluff, yay!!

Blimp baby!! Brad Pitt makes anything watchable.

Antwone Fisher

Very good. So sad Loved it.

Catch Me If You Can

Really good the first time, but it gets old after awhile.

For a movie watched in school, it was good.

I thought it was an amazing movie, and a whole lot better than Walk The Line.

Stupid. I predicted the whole story about 15 minutes in and I was right. Mystery? Yeah, right.

Win a Date With Tad Hamilton!

Cute. Topher Grace makes me smile.

Liar Liar
Liar Liar(1997)

Oh my god. Jim Carrey, you are irritating. Most of the jokes just weren't funny to me.

The Ring Two
The Ring Two(2005)

I can't help it. I adore Samara.

It was tense, but not scar. I liked it.

Simone (S1m0ne)

I don't remember why I watched this...

Ed Wood
Ed Wood(1994)

I think it could have been good if I was in the right mood... But it's long. Too long.

Better Off Dead

HAHAHA. Yeah, it was funny.

Romy and Michele's High School Reunion

I watched this on TV today. It was strange.

A League of Their Own

Cute sports lady movie.

The Man Who Knew Too Little

It was stupid funny, but I was bored, so it was cool.

Groundhog Day

Funny, but on TV too often.

This movie is funny.

Girl With a Pearl Earring

Solid. I love Scarlett Johansson.

The Exorcist
The Exorcist(1973)

Ehh... a bit dated.

I will never look at a woodchipper the same way :-O

2001: A Space Odyssey

I knew that is was good... I just didn't get it!

This is when Sigourney Weaver was hot.

Das Boot
Das Boot(1981)

NOTHING is etter than a foreign film.

To Kill A Mockingbird

Good sort of... The book is better, but it's hard to make the story bad.

Yet another messed up ... thing. But it was engaging.

The Benchwarmers

Stupid funny. Very stupid. Kinda funny.

What's Eating Gilbert Grape

The only time I ever enjoyed Leonardo DiCaprio (remember, I haven't seen Titanic!!)

I love X-Men. XXX. Whoo! X.

Meet the Parents

Haha. Hah. Ben Stiller, where did your career go?

Men in Black
Men in Black(1997)

I watch it on TBS. :-D

Red Eye
Red Eye(2005)

So disappointing, but has provided many good laughs as a result of its crappiness.

A Beautiful Mind

Makes me cry. I <3 it.

13 Ghosts
13 Ghosts(1960)

One of the worst movies I've ever seen. Glass door was sweet, though.

The Producers

Adolf Elizabeth... :D

Depressingly good...
