It's a simple beginning to what seems to be a very daring and lengthy film series. The makers take children from all over England from various social groups and ask them common questions about their lives. Did they want kids or marriage? What did they think of folks of different color? What are their feelings about the opposite sex? What did they want to be when they grow up?The children are honest and their answers to most of the questions are simple and to the point.I really liked where this was going and look forward to the rest of the series.

The movie the internet loves to hate turned out to actually be pretty entertaining. I dug the story and the new cast pretty well and even the action sequences were really well done and did things that the original movie couldn't due to effect constraints of the time.
The only parts I really disliked involved the Kevin character. It really felt like they couldn't decide if they wanted him to be just a little dumb or basically an asshole.
Over all a good start to a possible future franchise. I look forward to more.

Kind of weak. It really is for kids and the bare bones plot shows. There really isn't anything going on in the flick for about the first half and they rely on showing a few super powers here and there to keep your attention. Tim Allen is a little weak here and you can tell he would rather be doing something else with his time.
The final scene of the movie is a little rushed and the fx aren't really that impressive. In the end it's not much of a movie. Go see Sky High instead.

As a massive Superman fan I've been waiting for this film to come out for a very long time. With expectations high I let the film unfold and in the end I walked out of the theater very satisfied. Was it a perfect Superman movie? No. But it was a great start to a future franchise. The pacing of the film was rushed and the characters flat as there were no quiet moments to help them become more than names to us. I would also have to agree with the comments about the crazy amount of destruction that hits Metropolis and Smallville over the course of the film. It was a little much most of the time and really could have been toned down. People have been saying they want a Superman movie where he hits things and not just lifts heavy objects and we definitely got that. It's a great start but hopefully we'll get a little more depth in the next installment.

I had a lot of fun with this one and my enjoyment of the franchise as a whole seems to have climbed over the last couple years. It's not trying to be anything but dumb loud fun and that's ok. Not every movie has to attempt to change the world.
