Goodbye Bafana

This film, specially at the end, brought back a lot of memories of watching the news footage of Nelson Mandela walk out of prison a free man.

Bit slow at times but I enjoyed it and I also learned a lot about Mr Mandela's imprisonment that I had not known before.

In the end this movie just reaffirmed my belief that discrimination, whatever it is, will always lose against the goodness of equality.

BTW, this movie's alternate title is 'The Color Of Freedom' which is what Netflix has it under.

Heart wrenching and hauntingly beautiful, Dan Futterman in a sense lives in an alternate reality trying to cope with what has transpired.

└ toute vitesse (Full Speed)

Not sure why this is classified as a gay movie. It isn't. Dont bother wasting your time. 'Full Speed' is laborious, confusing and makes no sense.

I Love You Phillip Morris

I can't believe it took this long for 'Philip Morris' to be released in the States! What was so controversial about it?

Not your run of the mill dark comedy/ love story but beautifully played by Jim and Ewan.

Ive always been a Spacek fan-the older she gets the better in my opinion.
She doesn't disappoint in this somewhat slow moving, tense drama playing a mother that has lost a child and unable to deal with the fall out it has produced. Troy Garity is the son whose guilt over his brothers death has eaten away at everything in his path. Coming to terms with his alcoholism, his drug abuse and the son he just found out he had drives him back home to finally deal with the pain-and his mother.
