- Um, there's not much to say. I'm a quadruplet, which you should find interesting (most people do. I'm not sure why. The only thing that's really different is that you don't get your own birthday and people ask you a lot more questions). I plan to be a writer and I may be a film director (I haven't decided). I can be incredibly unpleasant at times (very patronizing, bossy, sarcastic, a know-it-all, stuck up, etc...), but then again, I can also be sort of funny and I suppose fun to be around. I REALLY HATE incorrect spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc... It drives me NUTS. I don't really mind sentence fragments, though, in case you were wondering. I love good films. Just so you know, an entertaining film is not necessarily a GOOD film. Just because you liked it better doesn't mean that it IS better. Quality does not depend on one's personal taste. Just so we've made that clear. So um...that's pretty much it.

Rating History
This movie deserves to be much more famous than it is. Ethel Merman is great, and Donald O'Connor is quite the charmer. And Lord knows I love George Sanders (what a great voice. Nice and deep). I liked all of the songs. Vera-Ellen is unremarkable, though. A solid, very enjoyable film.
Thomas Horn is not talented enough to portray such an abrasive character and still make us care about him. The story was thin, the direction and performances melodramatic. Definitely not one of the best pictures of the year.
Great performances, generally skillful direction, not-that-great screenplay. Nice to see Harry Lloyd, Jim Broadbent, Roger Allam, Richard E. Grant, and Anthony Head.
